September 17. The day I lost the love of my life....
September 17 2017
[On the phone]
"Hey Y/n, we're still meeting at the park right?"
"Yeah! I'm heading over there right now."
"Great! See you there. Love you!"
"Love you too!"
[End phone call]
I arrived at the park and saw Ethan. "Hey!" I smiled. "Took you long enough." he says crossing his arms. "Hey, I was getting snacks." I lift up the bag full of snacks. "Yes!" He throws his hands in the air and I giggle. We played around the playground that was close by, we played on the grass and looked up at the stars and talked for while until it was late. "It was fun." He says getting up and dusting off the grass on his pants. "Yeah. Where's your car?" I ask. "Across the street." He points to direction where his car is.
"Oh, ok."
"I'll see you tomorrow?"
He looks at me.
"Yeah sure." I smiled and he kissed my cheek. Ethan started to walk across the street. He stopped and turned around. "Y/n!" He shouted.
"What?"
"I love you!" I smiled.
"I love you too!"
We waved to each other until I see a car. I run to him. "Ethan watch ou-" It was too late...I ran crying to his body laying on the street. "Ethan! Ethan Come on! Come on wake up!" I called an ambulance.
[At the hospital]
"Ma'am, you have to wait out here." The doctor stops me from going inside. I sat down and called Grayson.
[On the phone]
"Hey Y/n, whats up?"
I sniff.
"Y/n? You alright?! What happened?!"
"E-Ethan..."
[Later]
Grayson came rushing to me. "How's Ethan?" He looks at me. "I-I don't know..." I look down. "Lets hope he'll be alright" "Yeah..." Grayson hugs me.
[A few hours later]
The Doctor comes out. Both Grayson and I stand up quickly and look at the doctor, hoping for good news. "Are you both here for Ethan Grant Dolan?" He looks at both of us. "Yes.." The doctor looks down.
"I'm sorry...but...he didn't make it.."
Once I heard those words come out of his mouth, I started to cry and fell to the ground. Grayson caught me and embraced me in his arms. I can see he was crying too.
A week later
I am laying in bed hugging Deo. Deo is the puppy Ethan gave me on my birthday.
[Flashback]
I looked out my window and see a girl playing with a puppy. "You seem sad. Whats up?" He says sitting in front of me. "I want a puppy Ethan..." I say looking out my window and sigh resting my head on my hand. "Hm..wait here" He gets up and goes somewhere. "Ok?" I say confused. A few minutes later Ethan comes back with a box. "Happy birthday Y/n." He smiles and I open the box. When I open it, I am greeted by a puppy licking my face. "Wha- Ethan Grant Dolan, No you didn't." I look at the puppy then at him. "Yup, he's yours." He smiles. "Thank you so much!" I kiss him then hug him tightly.
[End of flashback]
Tears start coming out of my eyes. Someone knocks on my door. I wipe my tears. "Come in.." Then door opens, revealing Grayson. "Hey..." He sitting next to me. "Hey.." I live with Grayson now. He said it would be better if I lived with him. So I don't feel lonely. "How you feeling?" He looks at me and asks. I look down and pet Deo. "The same..." Grayson hugs me. "Do you want to eat? I have food downstairs." He tucks a strand of hair behind my ear. "Sure" I haven't eaten in a long time. "I'll see you downstairs." "Ok.." He hugs me one more time then pets Deo and walks out. Grayson has been the one taking care of me since that day...He's like my brother. I walk downstairs. I see Grayson wrapped up in a blanket, on his laptop. I eat my food. When I finish eating, I wash my plate and go upstairs. I lay in my bed and stare at the ceiling. Deo lays beside me. I was about to fall asleep until I hear a noise. I get up and open my door. I see nothing. Then I hear it again coming from Ethan's room. I put my ear close to the door. Then I hear the noise again. I open the door and saw Ethan playing Fortnite. "E-Ethan?" I stand there in shock. Ethan spins around on his chair. "Hey Y/n, wanna play Fortnite with me?" I just run to hi and hug him, not wanting to let him go.
"I Love You.."
"I Love You Too..."
I say with tears streaming down my eyes. I fall asleep in his arms.
[Later]
I hear someone call my name. "Y/n! Y/n!" I open my eyes and see Grayson. "Y/n, what are you doing in Ethan's room?" I get up. "Ethan!" I look around and the room was dark. I look down and I'm holding his game controller. Tears start coming out of my eyes and I hold the controller closer. Grayson holds me close.
