"i remember this one" ethan stated, holding up the ornament with a picture of us. "my parents got it for us when we first started dating. now look at us, married." he pulled me close, looking at the tree and all the memories. "and we'll have a new one to hang in a few days. of us and my pregnant belly" i beamed, rubbing my stomach.
"i'm so glad i've spent these last few years with you" ethan kissed me on the cheek. i walked towards the tree, grabbing the ornament, my eyes immediately filling with tears of joy. "from the day you proposed to me" i wiped my tears away, placing it back on the tree and picked up another. "our wedding day" ethan picked up that was sitting on the coffee table, not yet hung up. i sighed, my smile growing wider.
on our christmas tree, more than thirty ornaments were pictures of the most important moments in their relationship. each picture surrounded by a beautiful glass design, colored red and green.
"and think, in less than two months we'll have a baby. just another memory to add to our tree" ethan said, rubbing my belly. "i cant wait for our little baby to be born" i responded, leaning my head on ethan's shoulder.
the two stared at the tree decorated with lights and ornaments they hung. the tree wasn't just a christmas tree. it was a tree filled with memories....
