2. I like being single. I just want to live my life as a single person.
Hanging out with my friend's brother is making it hard to be single. His name is Ethan..he's just..ugh..his eyes, his smile, his laugh. Its hard not to like him. So, I keep friend zoning him cause I don't want a boyfriend.
Yet.
A week ago
"Y/n, hey." Ethan walks towards me. "Hey." I smile. "You're smile is cute." He smiles.
Ugh...that smile!
I turn away, blushing. "Y/n, you ok? You look like a tomato." Grayson says poking me. "Shut up!" I push him and he laughs. "Im gonna get water." I get up and walk to the kitchen. I grab a glass and put water in it. "Hey Y/n, do you want to go out to dinner?" I hear Ethan behind me.
Dinner? A date dinner? or Just dinner?
"Um..sure bro!"
Bro?! What the heck was that?! Ugh...it still hurt when I said that though...but like I said, I don't want a boyfriend...yet...
He smiles but it wasn't like his other smiles, this one was a weak, fake smile, then he walked away. I sighed and put down my glass.
Ethan's POV
I asked Y/n out for dinner.
"Um..sure bro!"
Friend zoned...
I just smiled and walked away. When I walked away I sat on the couch by Grayson. "Hey bro, whats wrong?" He looked at me. "I asked Y/n our for dinner." I sat back. "The result?" He tilted his head. "Friend zoned..." I slumped down. "Oh don't worry, she'll like you, just wait." I nodded.
Y/n's POV
I overheard Ethan and Grayson's conversation.
I do like him...I just don't want a boyfriend....
Just not now..
Now
Ethan walked in. "Hey guys I'm gonna introduce you guys to someone." Ethan moved out of the way and I saw a very pretty girl. She had black hair, and brown eyes. "Ooooo, Who's the girl Eth" Grayson smirked at Ethan. "This is my...girlfriend." My heart shattered in pieces when I heard the word "girlfriend". "Ooo, Congrats Eth! You finally have a girlfriend!" Grayson cheered while tears were flowing down my cheeks. I ran to the bathroom before anyone can see me like this. A few minutes later I hear a knock on the door. I quickly wipe my tears away. "Hey you ok? You just ran off." He looks at me. "Yea, I'm fine. I just really needed to use the bathroom." "Oh, ok." We walked back to the living room. Ethan went back to the girl and kissed her. I looked on my phone and try not to look at them.
Hours later
These two were always together. It hurt. I couldn't take it anymore. "I'm going on a walk." I stand up. I walk outside then Ethan grabs me. "Y/n whats wrong? You're not like this." He closed the door and we are standing outside. "What's wrong? Ethan, whats wrong is that you have a girlfriend!" I say kind of loud pointing at the window which is in the direction of his girlfriend. "Why is it wrong?!" I stay silent. "Why Y/n?!" He says a bit louder. "Because I like you Ethan! No, I love you. I Loved you for how long? I just didn't want a boyfriend yet...but now you have a girlfriend." I look down. "Just forget about it..." I walk away but Ethan pulls my arm and I feel his soft lips on mine. We pull apart. "You have a girlfriend.." I say quietly and look at him. "Just wait for me."
2 weeks later
Ethan broke up with his girlfriend because she cheated on him. Now we are dating! I knew he would be a great boyfriend..
