today was an overcast rainy day, perfect for making a pillow fort.
"i've got the blankets" ethan called, holding a mountain of blankets on his arms.
"perfect! this is going to be so fun!" i squeal, causing ethan to laugh.
ethan placed the blankets over the chairs i had set up, making the perfect fort. after the outside was done, it was time to work on the best part, the inside!
i immediately ran to my room, grabbing some fairy lights and my laptop.
"that's perfect!" ethan exclaimed, grabbing the lights from my hands. he tied the fairy lights on the outside of the fort, perfectly illuminating the inside.
"oh, i also got my laptop for movies" i smile, holding up my laptop. "this is going to be so fun" ethan says, leading me inside the fort.
"what should we watch?" i ask, placing my laptop in between me and ethan.
"i'm good with anything, as long as you're here" he smiles, wrapping his arms around me.
"you're too cute" i giggle, planting a kiss on ethan's nose.
"no, you're the cute one" ethan cooed, resting his head in the crook of my neck.
after scrolling though netfilx the two of us decided on a classic disney movie, beauty and the beast.
i pushed play, then laid down in ethan's arms. the distant sound of rain pattering on the window, the warmth of ethan's arms and the tons of blankets surrounding us, a disney movie playing in the background, everything was perfect.
"ah i love this part" ethan said, as the classic dance scene began.
"me too. its so romantic" i smile, watching belle take the beasts hand. they had just gotten to the end to the stairs when ethan paused the movie.
"hey! why'd you do that?" i pout, watching ethan pick up the laptop.
"follow me. i have an idea" he smiled, motioning for me to follow.
we both walked out to the middle of the living room before he placed the laptop down. after pressing the play button, he held his hand out.
"may i have this dance?" he smiled.
"you may"
ethan placed one hand on my waist, the other holding my hand.
he gently started swaying, throwing in an occasional twirl. it was absolutely perfect, just like the movie.
as the song came to a close i rested my head on ethan's shoulder as he gently swayed side to side.
"you're such a dork, i love it" i teased.
"love you too" he laughed, planting a kiss on top of my head.
the two of us spent the rest of the day in the fort watching movies.
