"Check, check, and...check!" I buy all the stuff I need and drive home. "Hey Ethan, I'm-" I stop mid sentence when I smell burning. I drop all my stuff and run to the kitchen.
"Ethan?!" I shout and Ethan jumps. "Oh hey Y/n!" He turns off his phone and walk to me for a hug. "Ethan what the heck is burning?!" He looks at me confused. "Burning? Oh! I'm just making- Cookies! The cookies!" He rushes over to the oven and takes out the burnt cookies. "Hot! Hot hot!" He blows on them.
He sighs. "They're all burnt now..." He pokes them. "Aw Eth...its fine." I say. He looks at me then the cookies. "They're not ok! They're black! I don't even think they taste good!" He looks down.
"How about we make new cookies together?" I say trying to cheer him up. He looks up and smiles. "Yea lets do it!" I giggle. "Ok. Throw these away and I'll get the stuff ready." "Ok" He says and kisses my forehead then gets the burnt cookies and throws them away. While I get everything set up.
Durning baking
"Ethan!" He laughs. "Ethan you're getting chocolate everywhere!" I say and he throws more chocolate chips at me. "Ok, lets roll the cookies into balls and flatten them out" I did that while Ethan eats chocolate chips.
I look at him. "Ethan, I'm doing the work here and you're too busy eating chocolate chips." I put my hands on my hips. He closes the bag. "Fine. I'll put it in the oven" He says and wipes his hands then puts the cookies in the oven. I set the time and we wait.
Later
I hear a ding and I run to the oven. "E, it's ready!" He runs over. "It smells so good!" I giggle. "Let's take it out, then lets wait until it cools down, then we can eat it!" I say. I look at Ethan and he's pouting. "What's wrong?" I ask. "We have to wait again?" "Well, yea. Unless you want to eat it hot" I say. Then he take a cookie and puts it in his mouth.
His eyes widen. "Hot!" He fans his mouth. "I told you." I laugh. Once they cookies cooled down I took one and took a bite. "Mmm...." I smile at how good it tastes. "Want?" I give him one. He takes a bite. He smiles and nods. "It's good!" He chuckles and looks at me.
