"what do you think, y/d/n? (your daughter's name if you didnt know) what should daddy get mommy for christmas?" ethan asks your five year old daughter, balancing her on his hip as they go up the escalator.
"diamond necklace!" she exclaims, pointing towards the jewelry store in the mall. "mommy wants a diamond necklace? are you sure about that, sweetheart?" he looks at her. "she told auntie when she took me to uncle's!" ethan kisses his daughter's forehead before setting her down on the ground and grabbing her small hand in his large one.
"then lets go pick out a diamond necklace for mommy!" he smiles and y/d/n cheers excitedly tugging ethan towards the store, standing in awe in front of the display case as she admires all of the jewelry.
"hello, how may i help you today sir?" a young man behind the display case asks, smiling at y/d/n as she continues to 'oooo' and 'awe' over the various designs. "i'm looking for a diamond necklace for my wife" ethan explains. "right over here" the young man instructs, guiding ethan and y/d/n to an even larger display case filled with so many different necklaces that y/d/n's head begins to swirl from excitement. "do you have a particular price rang in mind?"
"no, anything is fair game. mommy's worth it, isn't she, sweetheart?" he beams down at y/d/n, his eyes crinkling at the sides. "yes! spoil mommy!" y/d/n tugs on ethan's hand directing his attention to a sparkly necklace towards the back.
"this is our princess cut" the man explains, pulling out the necklace to show ethan. "a princess cut for mommy because she's a princess!" y/d/n claps excitedly. ethan chuckles looking over at the necklace. "what do you think, sweetheart? think mommy will like it?" y/d/n smiles brightly. "yes!"
"we'll take it" ethan beams, handing the necklace back over to the man. "mommy will be so happy!" she squeals. "how about we get her some matching earrings? maybe even a bracelet?" ethan grins as his daughter's mouth opens in awe before she tugs ethan's hand over to another display case, showing him all of the items she thinks you'll apreciate.
