Kenzie turned on to her stomach, burying her face deep into her pillow as soon as she felt the rays of the sun seeping through the blinds and dancing on her eyelids, hoping to wake her up from her peaceful sleep. But, Kenzie wouldn't let the sun win, she couldn't, knowing she needed another hour of tender sleep in order to function properly. She smiled into her plush feather-filled pillow when the heaviness of her sleep started to take over her mind, knowing the she had be back into her lovely slumber soon.

Right when Kenzie was about to fall deep, her phone began ringing viciously in her ear, earning a groan from her in response. Despite how much she tried to get out of her bed to turn the annoying noise off, Kenzie couldn't move. Her bed begging her to stay in, enveloping her in extra warmth that wasn't there before, whispering her to ignore her phone, and Kenzie being like any other person on this planet lost the battle and chose her bed over her phone.

And, boy was it the best decision ever. She thought, letting her sleep once again take over her senses. But, Kenzie's phone was as stubborn as her bed and wanted to gain her attention, ringing louder than ever. She groaned, kicking the sheets off herself as she stood up and navigated her way to her phone with her eyes closed. In Kenzie's mind opening her eyes wouldn't allow her to go back to sleep, it would ruin it, forcing her to be productive for the day and she couldn't let that happen, not when her body ached in tiredness. With the tiny bit of sleep still left in her, she walked carefully across the room, but luck never seems to be on her side as her foot got tangled in the large portable heater's plug and off she came crashing down bringing the heater down with her.

"SHITTTTTTT." Kenzie hissed as pain erupted in her knees, and to make matters worse the ringtone of her stupid phone blasted in her eardrums once again. Taking the phone in her hand and violently pressing the green answer button, hoping to silence her phone once and for all. She greeted the person on the other end with every bit of anger that coursed through her veins because whoever was on the end, better pay her back for the precious sleep she lost.

"WHAT!?!"

"Well good morning to you too."

"Miles...?" Kenzie's eyebrows pulled together in confusion. She could feel her muscles relax and her lips ached to pull upwards, but Kenzie wouldn't let them, she couldn't. Not when Miles was every bit responsible for the terrible start in her day.

"The one and only!" Miles chirped, and Kenzie couldn't help but wonder why he had so much energy on this early, freezing morning as he continued to talk.

Fighting back the blush, Kenzie tried saying her next words with every bit of anger that was still left. "What do you want!?"

"Well isn't someone a bit a grumpy this morning.."

"Ohh, me? Grumpy? No, of course not! I've been up since five, hoping to catch the sunrise. You know what they say about  Saturday sunrises? They are the best to lose your precious sleep over!!." Every word equally dripping with sarcasm and anger.

"Well good! I'm glad I didn't wake you up, so was the Saturday sunrise worth losing your precious sleep over?"

Kenzie's sleep was long gone, her knees throbbing as she stood up, sitting on the edge of the bed to examine them. She was happy that her knees weren't bleeding but was annoyed at how they turned an ugly shade of blue, green, and black and with the experience she had, Kenzie knew the bruise would take weeks to fade.

"HONESTLY MILES! What were you thinking when you decided to call me not once but three times," Kenzie turned to look at her clock. "At eight in the morning!"

"Well first it's payback for when you called me last week and I wanted to make sure you awake."

"What? Why?"
