I stayed up late, staring at the ceiling, petting Rico as he dug his small ass legs into my vagina. I moved his paw away and he growled a bit.

"Seriously? Don't be a bitch, Rico." I said. I closed my eyes and dreamed about coming out and my mom accepting me. Dreams never come true.

I woke up early, before my alarm went off. I got up and got dressed in dark skinny jeans, vans, and a band shirt and I brushed my teeth. I tied my hair up into a messy bun and grabbed my glasses and put them on. I looked in the mirror. I look pretty crappy. Oh well. Not like I needed to impress supermodels that will never even know my name today. I hit the snooze button on my alarm once it went off and headed out my door. I grabbed my book bag and headed downstairs. I grabbed an apple out of the fridge and wash it off. I stared at it as I sat at the bar. The apple is soon plucked out of my hand. Cool. Not like I wanted to eat it anyways. I looked up to see Zac, my 1 year older brother. AKA, captain of the football and baseball teams and star player of both. I'm known as "That girl related to Zac "Wonder Boy" Miller." People would be shocked when they found out he and I were related, since he was a good half a foot taller than me and very muscular. He had light brown hair straight, but it wasn't blond. I had brown wavy hair. But we both had blue, almond shaped eyes, like our father. Zac's looks were closer to my mother's. She had light red hair, that had faded with age. I got my brown hair from my father. He was tanner than me, but I wasn't pale. He had an oval face, and I had a heart shaped face. He took a bite out of the apple.

"Wow you're nice." I said sarcastically.

"I know. Thanks for the apple, now let's go." he said.

"But you ate my breakfast." I said.

"We'll stop at Starbucks. We have time." I nodded.

I walked into school finishing the last bit of my muffin. Zac disappeared in the crowd of students. Now I'm alone. Like always. I saw my best friend, Cody talking to some people. I walked over and grabbed him by the jacket and pulled him away from them.

"Nice to see you too." He said as I dragged him into a stairwell. I made sure nobody is around.

"Athena talked to me." Code name for Amber. His jaw dropped.

"OH MY GOD DEETS NOW!" He said. I laughed.

"You still act like a girl sometimes." I said. But the one thing that sucked about having a transgender gay best friend is having to watch him deal with the hate.

"I know but I'm not a girl anymore." He smiled and brushed his hand through his shaggy hair.

"So she snapchatted me a picture of her cat. I snapchatted her a picture of Rico. We talked a bit. And oh my god I think I died." I said.

"Congrats." He hugged me. Not in a romantic kinda way. He's my best friend, so we always hug.

I sat in history with my phone under my desk. I acted like I'm listening to Mr. Greggo's lecture, but really I was texting Cody. I don't have to look at my phone to text. Just glance down to read what Cody said. Finally, the bell rings.

I walked to lunch and sat down at my table. Cody walked over with a pizza and a salad. I took the salad and started eating. Food goes fast so Cody always got me lunch because his class is right around the corner from lunch and mine is across the school. Though most of the time I didn't eat. I started eating reluctantly. Our other friends soon joined us. Oliver, Shawn, Carson, and Tess joined us. Carson and Tess sat across from me, both staring at me.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"I heard from Erin who heard from Jocelyn who heard from Sarah who heard from Grace that Amber talked to you!" My eyes bulged. Why would Amber be telling people she talked to me? It's not like I have supermodel looks like her and it was an accident.

"Yeah, and?" I asked.

"You have had a crush on her since junior high!" Carson whispered.

"Did you seriously have to bring up junior high?" I groaned.

"Too bad! Make a move on her." Tess said.

"Never." I said.

I walked into art class and sat alone at a table. Mr. Thompson started talking to us. There was a soft knock at the door. I don't look up. The door opened.

"Hi I'm new and I was told this was my class." I heard a girl say. Great. New people to hate.

"Just take a seat anywhere you'd like." Mr. Thompson said. The girl sat across from me.

"Hi." She said. Mr Thompson finished talking and went to his desk.

"Hi." I said, as I begin sketching on a paper.

"I'm Elena." She said. Great. Someone else to distract me from drawing.

"Jordan." I said. I glanced up to see her looking at my paper. I pushed the stack of papers towards her. "We're doing surreal drawings." She grabbed a piece of paper and pulled out a pencil and started sketching. I worked on the last details of my drawing when the bell rang. I opened my folder and put my drawing inside and walked out of class. I headed down the hall towards the front door. I saw Amber talking to her friends. Her golden blond hair in a braid, her slutty short shorts let her ass hang out and her white top revealed her belly button piercing. She laughed and saw me walking. Her friends walked away. She waved as I walked by. I kept walking. That did not just happen. I rushed out the door and headed to Zac's car. I saw him pull out with some girl in the front seat. I saw his best friend Jace in his parking spot.

"Jordan!" He said. I walked over.

"The hell you want?" I asked.

"Zac has a date and he gave me $20 to drive you home." He said. I groaned and pulled out a twenty from my pocket. I handed it to him.

"Go home. Tell him I took the bus." I said. Not really. I'm gonna walk. I need the exercise. He nodded and walked away and got in his truck. I walked towards the buses and kept walking. I saw Amber again. She's talking to that new girl. I don't even know her and I already pity her. Then I saw them hug. That ripped my heart out.

I walked into my house. Rico greeted me at the door. I heard Zac talking in the living room.

"Come on babe lets just go to the party. It'll be fun." I heard him say.

"But I don't feel well and I look terrible." I heard his girlfriend say.

"Please?" Zac said. I scoffed. He's so self centered.

"Can't we just stay here? You said your parents were out of town for the week and you said your sister wouldn't be home for a while." I sighed as I heard laughter. I slowly put my book bag on the ground and grabbed my other bag. I grabbed Rico's leash and opened the door and walked out. I grabbed Rico's collar and clipped the leash on. I closed the door and swung my bag over my shoulders and started walking. I headed to the park and sat under the big oak tree. I pulled my bag off my back and opened it. I pulled out my earbuds and phone out of my pocket and plugged my earbuds in. I put them in my ears and opened Spotify. Once my music is on, I grabbed my sketchbook and opened it. I flipped through my pages. I'm running out of paper. Dang. Rico barks. I took one earbud out and looked up. Cody was walking over with his Pomeranian, Benson.

"Hey." I said.

"Whatcha up to?" He said.

"Nothing." I closed my book. He looked at my book.

"I can take Rico for a walk if you want." He offered.

"Thanks." I unties his leash from the tree and handed it to Cody. He took the leash and walked away. I opened my book back up. I saw Amber jog by. Why is it that when I forget about her she always seems to be where I am? She passed by. I sighed. I'm so in love.
