After an unsuccessful search for weed, I settled down in a lawn chair outside with a cigarette. As far as I knew, Cody only had two beers, Tess was drunk, and Amber had one beer. I was sitting where I could watch Cody and see Amber inside. Cody was talking to some other guy in the pool. Amber was still dancing with her friends. Then I noticed Stacey near Amber. I quickly stood up and put out my cigarette before slowly approaching the house. Stacey wasn't talking to Amber, but was getting close to her. Then she started talking to her. I rushed in and stood where Amber could see me but Stacey couldn't.

"You look so amazing Amber!" Stacey slurred.

"Oh...thanks?" Amber raised an eyebrow, unsure of what to do. I walked over and looked at Stacey.

"Amber really doesn't want to talk to you." I snapped.

"What the fuck, bitch! I'm just trying to have a conversation Jesus Christ!" She shouted.

"You're a really shitty person you can't just act like everything is okay between you two, she hates your fucking guts." I snapped.

"You're not her fucking mom you don't know what she thinks!" Stacey growled. I shoved her back. She stumbled into someone dancing. She was pissed.

"Jordan cut the shit!" Amber shouted.

"What a fucking bitch!" Stacey scoffed. Eric was rushing over. He grabbed Stacey and held her tight.

"What the fuck is wrong with you Amber!" He shouted.

"Are you fucking serious!" Amber shouted. She scoffed and walked off into the kitchen. I followed her. She finished the beer she had and grabbed another can. She drank it quickly.

"That's enough." I said. She ignored me and grabbed a third. I tried to take it out of her hand but she slapped my hand away.

"Fuck off." Amber snapped.

"How many beers have you had?" I asked.

"Three." She said as she opened the other and started drinking it.

"Don't you dare take another one." I snapped.

"You're not my fucking mom." She said.

"Alright get wasted and fuck up your body." I walked off and went outside. Cody was no longer in the pool and neither was his friend. I sighed and walked back inside. I walked upstairs and walked to an open door. There were three couples making out in the bedroom. One of them was Tess and her friend. Both of them were shirtless now. I sighed and walked out. I went downstairs and out the front door. Tires screeched down the road. I looked down the road to see a white BMW. Amber's. Fuck. I took off down the road as fast as I could. The car was no longer in sight. I pulled out my phone as I ran and I called Amber. It rang once and then went to voicemail. I tried again. Straight to voicemail. Again. Straight to voicemail. I groaned and stuck my hand in my pocket. I reached the end of the street and saw tire marks turning left. I turned left and sprinted down the street. I felt like collapsing. I was nauseous. And hungry. But I kept going. I reached the end of the road. It was a four way intersection and there were no tire marks anywhere. I stopped running. I was gasping for air. I felt too weak to stand. I tried to sit down on the sidewalk but I fell down instead. Everything was spinning. Before it turned dark.

I woke up where I had collapsed. It was still dark out. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time. I couldn't have been out for more than forty five minutes. I got up and started walking. Maybe Amber left with her friends. I decided to call Gigi. She answered after a few rings.

"Heeey." She slurred.

"Hey it's Jordan. Are you with Amber?" I asked.

"Nah she left me long ago." There was no background noise. Amber must've dropped her off somewhere.

"Do you know where she went?" I asked.

"Nah." She said.

"Are you home?" I asked.

"Yeah but don't come to my house I don't want your pussy i'm not Stacey." She said.

"Wasn't planning on it. Bye." I hung up and stuck my phone in my pocket before crossing the street and walking down the road. I walked down a street and passed by Gigi's house. No sign of Amber. I sighed and kept walking. Maybe she got into a car accident? She could've been dead. I decided to call a nearby hospital.

"West Borough Hospital, how may I help you?" The lady said.

"Hi I'm trying to find my girlfriend who may have been in an accident. Have there been any patients that came in the past hour or so who are in high school involved in a car accident?" I asked.

"Not tonight, I'm sorry." She said.

"Can I leave you my number and you can call if anyone does? Please I have nobody else at the moment." I pleaded. The lady sighed.

"You don't have a family?" She asked.

"My mom is an alcoholic who beats me. My father died. My uncle is too busy to take care of me. My brother has to worry about baseball and academics to ensure his scholarship is a full ride. I have no other family. She's been the one taking care of me for the past few days." I said.

"I'm not supposed to give information out to those who are not family, but I'm going to. What's your name?" She was speaking quietly.

"Jordan Miller." I said.

"And your number?"

"718-3514." I said. "Thank you so much."

"Yep. Have a good night." She said.

"You too." I ended the call and kept walking. I wouldn't be having a good night. My phone rang in my pocket. My heart skipped a beat. I pulled it out and quickly answered.

"Hello?" My voice was coarse.

"Hey honey. Why don't you turn around and get in my car?" Louis. I turned around and saw a black jeep with the headlights off.

"No." I said.

"Get in or I'll make you get in." He said. I hung up the phone and looked at him. He revved the engine. I swallowed hard and walked to the car and climbed in. He looked at me.

"Close the door and buckle up." He demanded. I shut the door and buckled my seat belt.

"What the fuck do you want?" I asked.

"You and Amber harassed my brother. You also hurt me." He snapped.

"So what?" I rolled my eyes.

"I'm gonna hurt you emotionally." He started speeding down the road. "Don't say a word." He turned down another street and pulled into the parking lot at the elementary school. He parked the car and looked at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Why do you eat?" He asked.

"Are you fucking serious?" I asked.

"Yes I am. It's not pretty." He poked me in my stomach. "Amber would love you a lot more if you were thinner. Other girls would love you too."

"Stop." I said.

"Don't speak. Just listen. You wanna be thin don't you? You wanna be beautiful? Then stop eating. It's that simple." He said. While he was speaking I was unbuckling my seatbelt without him noticing. "You should puke too." I opened the door and jumped out before sprinting down the road. I refused to stop. I tried to ignore what Louis said but I couldn't. He was right. I was fat. I need to stop eating. It was that simple.
