Less than an hour until I saw my dad for the first time in months. I sat in the back seat of my mom's car while Zac sat in the passenger seat. I was wearing light blue ripped jeans, brown combat boots, a maroon tank top, and my black leather jacket. I decided to dress a little nicer than usual since dad was coming home. Zac on the other hand opted for a more casual look, he wore jeans, timbs, a white tee shirt, and his varsity jacket. He wore his UNC snapback backwards. I rarely see him without that damn hat. I had my earbuds in and was looking out the window. My phone buzzed in my hand and I looked to see a snapchat from Amber. I smiled and bit my lip as I unlocked my phone and opened snapchat. I opened the snapchat to see a picture of Amber laying on her side in bed, pouting a bit. The caption read "bored :/". I glanced out the window and took a picture and then captioned it "can't help u there, sorry" and sent it. Seconds later, she opened it. Then she replied. I opened it to see a similar picture to the first one with a frowny face drawn in red pen. I opened my texts with her.

Yay!I laughed quietly.
Me:
Alright i gotta go. Bye. Love you.Amber:
I love you too!My mother managed to park near the entrance my dad was coming out of. It was too hectic for us to wait inside and then find him in the crowd. Zac, my mother and I stood outside the car. My mother was far away, smoking a cigarette. I was on my phone looking at the pictures Amber and I had taken together yesterday.
"What are you looking at?" Zac asked. I looked up at him.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You're smiling at your phone. It's weird." He said.
"Oh. Yeah." I kept looking at my phone. Zac walked over and snatched my phone out of my hand. "Hey!" I tried to grab it back.
"You have a girlfriend?" He asked as he looked at the picture of Amber kissing my cheek.
"Yeah..." I bit my lip.
"Aw thats cute. I'm happy for you." He smiled.
"Thank you." I said as I took my phone back. Just as I was putting it in my pocket, I saw a soldier in his camo uniform walk out the door carrying a camouflage duffel bag. Dad. I immediately ran over and jumped into his arms. He held me tight.
"I missed you kiddo." He spoke into my ear.
"I missed you too dad." I cried into his chest. I let go of him and he let go of me.
"Oh come on, stop crying, Jordy." My mom walked over and hugged my dad. Zac walked over. My dad let go of my mother after kissing her on her forehead and bro hugged Zac and patted him on the back.
"How's baseball going?" Dad asked.
"Undefeated." Zac smiled.
"Nice!" Dad said. "Are we going out to lunch? I'm starving." You have got to be kidding me. I went on a three mile run in the rain after my date yesterday and then did sit-ups for an hour, with breaks of course.
