My heart shattered as I saw the car. A destroyed BMW next to a street light. A red car was smashed near by. I didn't know what to think of the scene. An ambulance was heard in the distance. Too far. I rushed over to the white BMW. There were bystanders at the red car. I looked into the car and saw Amber unconscious in the front seat. Blood was on her forehead. The front left side of the car was destroyed. I was hoping Amber's legs were ok.

"Amber!" I shouted. My voice was shaky. No response. I could see she was still breathing. The drivers side door was also smashed. I pulled out my phone and called Amber's dad. He picked up after a few rings.

"Hello?"

"Amber's been in a car accident I don't know how bad her condition is the ambulance is almost here but it's bad." I started crying.

"Where? Is she breathing? Can you tell if she's breathing?" He was scared.

"She's breathing but her head is bleeding and She may have broken a leg. We're on the corner of Delarough and Lavine." I said.

"I'm on my way." He ended the call. The ambulance was near. I watched as it pulled up. There was another one pulling up behind it. Paramedics rushed out. They went to the red car first. The the other paramedics rushed over to Amber's car. One stopped to talk to me.

"Are you a witness?" He asked.

"No she's my girlfriend and we were at a party and she left without me knowing. She was pretty pissed at me and was drunk and I was looking for her and then I saw her pull out of a gas station and then turn a corner and I heard the crash. I rushed over and saw this." I explained. I was crying hysterically now. The other paramedics were working on getting her out of the car.

"Please stay calm ma'am." He rushed over to help the other paramedics. They managed to get her out of the car and on a stretcher. They put a neck brace on her. I could see her leg was bleeding badly. They had put a brace on her left leg to support it. They had a breathing mask on her face as they brought her to the ambulance. Another car pulled up. Amber's dad rushed out and went to the paramedics. I walked over.

"Sir you can either come with us or meet us there. She needs surgery now." One paramedic explained.

"Jordan can go with her." He said.

"Family only sir." The paramedic who spoke to me said.

"She's family." Mr. Johnson snapped before walking to his car. The paramedics nodded at me and I climbed into the back with them. Amber did not look okay as the ambulance drove off.

"She's losing a lot of blood, Maria!" One shouted.

"Noah shut the fuck up!" Maria shouted. They had her hooked up to machines now. I was afraid to lose her. I was afraid the last words I would ever hear her say would be "You're not my fucking mom" and the last thing she heard me say would be "Alright get wasted and fuck up your body." I loved her more than I had ever loved anyone in my life. I couldn't lose her. It would completely break me to lose her. Now I knew how she felt about losing me. The ambulance arrived at the hospital shortly and they rushed her in. I followed behind. Amber's dad walked in moments after I did. We watched Amber disappear behind doors and I sighed. We both sat down in the waiting room.

"Mr. Johnson you should know that Amber doesn't just hang out with friends." I said.

"I know she parties. Please, call me Peter." He said. "I'm gonna take a few calls." He stood up and went on his phone before walking out. I pulled out my phone and decided to make some calls of my own. I called Cody first.

"Hey Jordy." He laughed.

"Are you drunk?" I asked.

"Two beers. What do you need?" He asked.

"Amber got into a car accident and I'm at the hospital. I need you to get Tess home." I said.

"Oh my god she alright?" Cody asked.

"I have no idea. Just please get her home safe." I stated.

"Alright. Cya." He ended the call and I sighed. I had nobody now. I dialed a phone number and stuck my phone to my ear and listened to the rings.

"Hello?" A voice croaked.

"Hey Cailyn. I'm at a hospital right now. My girlfriend was just in a car accident. It's my fault she got into the accident. I yelled at her and we both said some words we'll regret and she drove off drunk. I don't have anyone now." I cried.

"Oh my god Jordan...West Borough or Spring Valley?" She replied.

"West Borough."

"I'm on my way." She ended the call as soon as she finished speaking. I stuck my phone in my pocket and stood up. I began walking outside as Peter walked in. I walked over to a park next to the hospital and went up to a tree.

"Fuck!" I screamed before I drove my fist into a tree. "Fuck!" That was a stupid idea. My hand was shaking and my knuckles were split. I drove my fist into the tree again. And again. I couldn't bend most of my fingers.

"Hey! Hey!" I turned around to see a nurse walking towards me. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Screw off I'm fine." I sniffled.

"You just punched a tree a few times. Let me take a look at that." He walked over and took my hand. "You may have broken two fingers. Are you right handed?"

"Ambidextrous." I replied.

"Let's go get this X-Rayed." He said.

"It's fine!" I snapped. He looked at me.

"You just punched a tree. Did something happen?" He asked.

"My girlfriend got into a car accident because she was pissed at me and drove off drunk." I said.

"I'm sorry but you still need to get this checked out." He said. I pulled my hand away and started running off down the road. "Stop running! Stop!" I ignored the nurse's shouts and kept running. Then I saw Cailyn's car approaching the hospital. She jacked on the breaks and hopped out before running across the street. I turned down a path in the park to avoid her and kept going.

"Jordan what the fuck!" Cailyn shouted. I was weak. I was tired. I wanted to die. But I refused to stop running. Then I was tackled to the ground.
