I had been held in darkness for what felt like forever. What was he doing with me? Does the others realize I was gone by now? Was he going to hurt me?
Just then, I was pulled out into the light. By the back of my jacket.

I gasped, struggling.
Suddenly seeing the concrete ground below me. My breathing hitched when I was held in front of Milo's face.
"Chill out, jeez." Milo told me in a bit of annoyance.
"We're not gonna hurt you. We just want you to do a little thing for me real quick."

I was horrified that I was gonna fall, I did not feel secured or safe. I was near a panic state that I wanted to cry out. But I didn't. I took a deep breath, trying to calm down and not focus on how high up I was. I just looked Milo in the eyes, trying to just focus on him.

I was tired of being afraid for my life all the time! I wished I could be myself and feel the freedom to speak, I felt too helpless and it was exhausting!
I tried to push my fear down so I could get my words out.
"W-what did you w-want me to do?" I said a bit low, but I knew they could still hear me.

I was being lightly shook as he began walking again.
"I want you," he pointed to me, looking past me now.
"To go into this house, and get something for me." I jumped lightly after feeling an actual ground touch my feet. He released the back of my jacket, allowing me to stand. I looked down, seeing a white flooring. Turning around, I saw glass, a window. I was on a window seal.

I slowly turned back around to face Milo.
"Y-you want me to s-steal?"

"Not steal, just take back. The thing I want you to get is mine. The bitch just never gave me my hat back." Milo narrowed his eyebrows, shaking his head.

"A-are you kidding me? I would get killed in there!" My voice slowly returned to normal, almost forgetting who I was talking to.

Milo shifted in his spot a bit, moving his hand onto the window seal next to me. Making me jump back, shielding my head like he was about to hurt me.
A small whimper got passed my lips, expecting him to hurt or grab me again.

"What are you doing?" Milo questioned, confusion lacing his voice.
"I'm not interested in hurting Alton's toy, that's a death wish."

I slowly unraveled my arms from around my head, looking up to him with uncertainty.

"Look," he moved the both of his hands on each side of me, causing me to flinch back on instinct.
He easily made me turn back around to face the window, leaving his pointer fingers on my arms.
"It isn't that hard, just go in, get the hat, and get out. It's as simple as that. No one should be home." Milo tried to encourage.

I turned my head, barely looking over my shoulder at him.
"Were doing all of this for a hat?"

"Hey! That hat means a lot to me. It was my Dad's." He corrected me.

"T-then I-if no ones home, why don't y-you go in and get it? I'm sure y-you know how to get into a locked house."

"Because I can't cause any problems, I'm not even suppose to be here right now."

I squinted my eyes at him.
"It's that girl's house isn't it?"

"Who else could it be?" He smiled, shrugging his shoulders.
"She always caused problems for me."

I sighed.
"I-I don't want to be involved in any of this. It seems kinda dangerous." I walked off to the side of the window seal, not able to fully walk away or I'll plummet like..... what.... forty feet?
