"What are you doing?" Savannah rushed into the bathroom, where Alton and I were.
I stood up on the table, where Alton had placed me so he could rummage through the cabinets."Searching for stuff so I can take a shower." Alton responded without looking up at her.
"If you're making me stay here like this, the least you could do is let me take a quick shower.""But you can't make too much noise or you're gonna get my Parent's attention. Remember what I said about them threatening to call the police when I mentioned you to them?" She set her hands up onto the door's threshold on each side of her. Looking down at Alton while he continued to look through the cabinets under the sink.
"Aren't they in bed now?" Alton paused for a second, looking up towards her. All I could see was part of his upper face while his brown eyes stared at the girl for an answer.
"Yeah.." She trailed.
"Then I don't see a problem here." He continued what he was doing.
"I'm not gonna be loud and you can shut your door, maybe they'll think it's you in the shower if they happen to walk by."The teenager girl sighed, looking off down the hall way.
"Fine," She mumbled.
"But I'm serious, you need to be as quite as possible and make it quick." She warned, pointing her finger at him.He rolled his eyes.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." Alton spoke under his breath.I tugged at my jacket a bit, feeling the bit of the cool air wash over me. I turned my back to the two Novians to look at the mirror. Or barely look at the mirror.. This mirror was a little higher up than the one that was at Alton's house. I could just see the bridge of my nose and up. I attempted to push myself up a little higher on my tippy toes in order to at least see the rest of my face. Which surprisingly wasn't the easiest. I would only see a bit more, but would fall back down to the flat of my feet.
"Are you gonna keep her in here while you shower or...?" Savannah asked while looking down at him strangely. I looked at her in the mirror's reflection, turning back around to face them. So I could see Alton, since I wasn't able to in the mirror.
"No," He shook his head, his brown hair ruffled up from the movement his head made.
"I guess she can stay in the other room with you.""Oh wow, such an honor. Are you finally gonna trust me with her after what I've done for you two?" She gasped in fake excitement, sarcasm leaking from her words.
Alton looked up to her, glaring a bit in annoyance.
Savannah grinned at the frustration she was causing him, while setting her hands down onto the counter in front of me."Let's go, Girl friend." Savannah flipped one of her hands over and pushed it closer to me.
"Let's go do our hair."I gave Alton a few looks, but after him not saying anything, I walked up to Savannah's hand, stepping up into it. She stuck her thumb up while I climbed on so I would have something to hold onto. Which I did. While she was leaving, she grabbed a hair brush on her way out.
"Oh, and Alton. Towels are in this cabinet and you can use my shampoo and conditioner that's already in the shower." She pointed to each areas, to show Alton where to look for the items.
Alton stood up from his crouched position, walking over to the shower and picking up a bottle.
"Cherry Blossom?.. Don't you have anything different?"Savannah chuckled.
"Hey, you're one that is in hiding, I don't think this is the time to be picky." She smiled.Alton groaned, setting the bottle down.
"I'm sure you'll smell great anyways." Savannah quickly turned her back to him, walking across the hall and back into her bed room. Hearing Alton shut the bathroom door behind us as we left. Savannah shut her door as we entered.
