I sat in Nick's hand while he walked towards the area I had once came from. The Radutl, Which I think that's what they called it. The portal that is the only form of path to each dimension.
I sat back, wondering. What was the plan? What are we gonna do? If we go back, where would they keep them? I would have assumed in jail. But that guy from the science lab had them. Would they be locked up in the science lab? No, stupid. That wouldn't make any sense. They would have to be locked up in a cell.I looked down to the ground as my mind began to doze off to someplace else.
In my mind, I saw... my Mother..
She was gently smiling at me, her white teeth barely showing through her red lips. Her eyes showed happiness, beautiful and bright. Her hand came down and touched my cheek. It felt so real..
I leaned my head into her touch.
"You will always be our little girl." She whispered, bringing herself onto her knees.
"Our little girl." She brought her arms around me, laying her head onto mine. A smile was forced onto my lips as I closed my eyes for a moment."Clay? Are you okay?"
I snapped back into reality, seeing myself back in Nick's hand.
He was looking down to me strangely and yet with curiosity."O-oh, y-yeah. I'm.. fine." I pushed myself up into a better position in his hand. Wiping under my eyes but to feel a wetness under my blue eyes.
Quickly, I rubbed the liquid from under my eyes away so Nick wouldn't see.He looked down to himself, almost like he was looking for something or he was unsure of something.
I glanced at him, my eyes scanning over him. Curious what he was thinking. What was wrong.
"Wh-whats wrong?" My soft voice broke out."I don't know where to put you. I forgot my jacket at home." He stepped forward to just start the Radutl up, sliding an extra panel up and typed in some sort of code. I don't remember Parker having to do that when he sent me through.
"Well, couldn't I just stay right here?" I held onto his thumb and I leaned more to the side when I had asked him a question.
His eyes flashed down to me, almost seeming to glow to me, with the moon illuminating behind him.
"Probably will have to. Just normally it would be easier to have some sort of jacket with pockets. Easier for travel."His hand began to turn, making his hand go from being my flooring to more of a wall. I had to grab onto the side of his hand to prevent myself from slipping off. But before that could even have been possible, his fingers curled around me. Becoming a fist to hold me in place.
"Hold on." He mumbled, as his grip slightly tightened on me. It made me a bit alarmed, but I remained quiet.
He jumped through the Radutle, feeling it's cold atmosphere touch my skin gave me goosebumps. I held on tight as I felt some sort of force feeling almost like it was pulling me back. My hair was whipped this way and that and before I knew it, we made it out the other side. I was instantly confused.
This wasn't that same room I had left when I was thrown through the portal... This didn't look like the CTO base..
I picked my hand up and ran it over my head slowly to push the hair that flipped into my face back to where its suppose to be. I looked around, seeing a run down looking room. Dark, but had a few yellowish, blinking lights.
"Where are we..? This doesn't look like the base." I looked behind myself and up to Nick, fixing my glasses as I waited for him to explain why we ended up in a different area.
"I really wish I had my jacket.." He grumbled under his breath.
I looked at him strangely.
Not understanding why he would say something like that like he was really beating himself up about it.
