I jumped when I heard a few loud knocks on the door, it was so loud that I knew it wasn't even at our door in Sal's room. It had came from the front door.
Some of the boys looked to each other, knowing what it was about.
"Sal!"
Not even ten seconds later I could hear Sal's mom yell, seemingly in anger."That's our cue." Sal nodded.
"Gotta hide the wanted people." Sal began to shove Alton towards a closet, who began to stumble as he was rushed to the other area.I watched in worry, my heart thumping in my chest. Since I was away from Alton and none of them were letting him have the chance to protest or come back for me.
What was I suppose to do? I was on a table, clearly in the open.
Just like my thoughts were answered, a hand was placed next to me.
I backed up and looked to it's owner."Incase they find Alton, let's make it so they don't take the both of you so easily."
Parker said lowly.I glanced towards Alton, for an answer.
He had his eyes on me, and gave a small nod. As to say that 'it was okay.'
As he was shoved into the closet.
I returned my eyes towards Parker and brought myself to him, climbing up onto his hand. It felt like my legs had turned to jello from the action, out of nerves. But other than Alton, Parker was the next person I trusted out of them all. If I didn't have Parker and Alton wasn't a choice either, I wouldn't know what to do.
His fingers curled around me in reaction. He brought me over to his pocket in his jacket.
I held onto his fingers for support, my heart really began to beat now.I had to grab the fabric of the pocket to help open it some more for me to easily be placed inside.
It became dark as soon as I was placed inside, the only bit of light that I had received was from the bits of light that barely shinned through the fabric.Parker's fingers came around me, flipping me nearly upside down so that he could have his hand over top me, and I assume in case he had to take his hand out quickly, so he doesn't toss me out as well.
I scooted up in the back of the pocket, trying to relax myself.
I heard the door was thrown open."Sal, were you out tonight at nine forty three?"
A deep voice asked suddenly.I would assume it was a police man.
"No." I heard Sal respond.
"Oh really now?... Because at that time, there was some group of boys, by this nice people's house and they had spray painted the side of their house with inappropriate language."
"Oh no, that sounds horrible!" Sal said obviously sarcastically.
There was a second of silence.
"And this young lady that so happens to live in that house has proof that she has been with one of these boys and had recently broken up. And If I do recall, this isn't the first offense."Silence...
"I'm not joking, Sal. This is serious. I have been super easy on you and giving you guys warnings and to pay fines for the damages."
"Paying fines worth over five hundred is what you call easy?" Sal blankly said.
"Then stop getting into trouble then maybe you won't have to worry about another visit from me!" The officer snapped back.
"The real punishment I should be giving you is to take you to court and you would nine out of ten be going to jail. You need to stop and get yourself together."
