I about ran circles, unsure of what to do.
I couldn't run downstairs to go back outside, I wouldn't make it.
I can't go out the window in this bedroom, there's nothing for me to use to get out, plus, it's too high up. Even if I did get back to the office, how was I suppose to get out anyways, I fell most of the time to get down, I won't be able to get back up it.There's no way out. I felt tremors in the ground and loud foot steps coming up the stairs inside the house.
I panicked, and ran underneath the bed to hide, just in time for the door to fly open.Seeing bright pink tennis shoes walk into the room and go straight to the dresser.
I slowly peeked out just enough to see.
It was her, Savannah.
Her long blonde hair that came down to her skinny waist, a navy blue blouse with small flowers decorating it and white shorts.
But something else I've notice, she was wearing a hat that very much resembled the hat Milo described to me...
dang it..She had it this entire time?!
Well this journey was lost!
There's no way I'll be able to get it from her AND get out of this house without being noticed. Plus, from the other bed rooms Ive seen, I can probably guess there's children here.. suddenly, she spun around.I yanked myself back under the bed to stay out of sight.
Please say she didn't see me, please say she didn't see me!
I watched as her shoes began to walk closer and closer to the bed, she kneeled down, picking up a shirt that was on the ground in front of the bed, examining it.I heard her sigh, and get back up, walking back over to her closet to hang it back up.
How long was she gonna be in here? I really don't want to try to run while she's in the room, that's running a chance of being seen. It's already getting late, maybe I should wait till they go to sleep so I would have a better luck? What about Alton and the others? They surely should know I'm gone by now. Should I wait for them? Do they know? Well Milo knows, he can't keep something like this a secret, he had to have realized how serious this got when they came home.
Even if I did get back to the office, I can't climb back out, and getting out, how will I find the others?
I could be found by another Novian, or... Cannibal.. Who knows what they would do to me.Maybe now will be a good time to at least try. I glanced back in her direction, seeing her still in her closet, my eyes bounced around the room to make sure everything was clear. It was a risky shot, but it was something I was going to have to take.
I ran out from my spot, my eyes were locked onto the door.
I watched as the door became closer and closer, my blood pumping in my ears, until a shoe broke the connection I had with the door.
A shoe stepped in front of me.
In reaction, I skidded to a hault, throwing myself backwards, away from what was ahead of me.
I fell down onto my back, wincing in pain from the injury I had gotten earlier."Whoa whoa whoa." I heard a voice above say.
"A human?" She questioned quietly.By the time I had looked up, she was already crouching down in front of me.
I threw myself backwards in reaction, trying to quickly bring myself back up to my feet without stopping.Cover! Cover! Cover!
To much exposure!
I ran the other way opposite from Savannah and towards the bed for cover."Hey, hey." She called gently.
But she didn't try to physically stop me.As soon as the shadow of the bed overtook me and I was in a harder place for her to reach, I finally stopped. Grabbing onto the frame of the bed, and gingerly peeking out at her.
She scooted herself closer, sitting onto her knees, in front of the bed. She leaned forward so she could peer under the bed at me, with her forearms resting on the floor to prop herself up on. Her hand laid in front of her, in the carpet but at a respectful distance from me.
