"Hey, get up!" A voice called, where I laid began to shift.
I groaned in my sleep, not wanting to get up.
"Alton, come on!" The voice urged again.
I found it difficult to open my eyes, sleep had glued them shut. I curled up in the fabric, feeling myself slowly drift away once again. Until whatever was beneath me began to move a lot more now. I felt as if I was falling. My eyes shot open and I grabbed handfuls of whatever was around me. It wasn't difficult to open my eyes now... I looked around wildly, seeing the mass beneath me move upwards. My hands grew sore and I was losing my grip, the fabric slipped from my fingers and my body was thrown backwards. I yelped out in shock as I went tumbling backwards. Then having a moment, of being on nothing at all. No ground, or anything. It took like two seconds until I felt ground.
I smacked uncomfortably into the carpeted ground, feeling pain shoot up from my back from a bruise I had gotten before.
"Clay! Are you okay?" I heard the voice from earlier ask with concern. I winced, while rubbing my back. Looking up, I saw a blur. I rubbed at my eyes. Feeling that my glasses wasn't there. I almost innerly panicked for a second, but stopped myself. Reminding myself that I had taken them off when I fell asleep.
But looking back up at the huge figure before me, and by the sound of their voice, I knew it was Savannah.
"Y-yeah." I mumbled, nodding my head.
Savannah turned angrily back to Alton, who laid in front of me. Did I fall from him? I might have fallen asleep on him.
"Alton! You can't just have her sleeping that close to you. What if you rolled over in your sleep?"
Alton rubbed his head, brushing his hair out of his eyes.
"I didn't, she fell asleep on me. That wasn't my choice." He replied groggily.
"Well you need to keep up with these things." Savannah replies with annoyance, standing up from her crouched position.
"Anyways, let's go. We got some work to do."
She began to walk out of the door.
"Work?" Alton sat up, squinting his eyes tiredly and in confusion at her.
"Yeah," She replied, then turned to face us once again. She crossed her arms and leans into the door frame of the closet.
"My parent's are at work and Jason is at school, while we got the house to ourselves, we need to prepare for travel into the human realm."
"And.. what type of work are we doing again..?" Alton trailed off a little, clearly still half asleep. His hair was a mess and his eyes looked tired.
"We need to work on learning the skill, now come on! Wake up and get downstairs." Savannah rushed out of the room.
Alton groaned, leaning his head against the wall and closing his eyes.
"And don't you go back to sleep!" Savannah yelled from downstairs.
Alton huffed, picking his head back up and rubbing at his eyes.
I pushed myself back up from my feet, feeling the throb in my back from the tumble and the fall I had earlier. I straightened out my red shirt as I walked over to the corner of the closet. Picking up my glasses I had left there to keep out of the way from being damaged or lost. I unfolded them, held them up a little bit, seeing some smudges on them, I attempted to clean them with an edge of my shirt. While turning back and looking at Alton. His face was a little blurred out. But I could kinda make his face out a bit, since his head is so huge. It wasn't that hard. After a few moments, I placed my glasses back over my eyes, seeing the world become so much more clear now.
I leaned to the side, reaching my hand down to pick my jacket up that I had left there with my glasses and began to slide my arms through the little sleeves.
Alton yawned, stretching his back out.
"Come on, let's go." He held his hand out behind me while I was straightening out my jacket. I turned around to face him, looking in his eyes first then down to his hand.
