I huffed, bored out of my mind. And yet, I felt worry for Alton. He just left his friends behind, mad. They were really all he had. Was it really worth getting mad at them in a time like this? I was fine, I didn't get hurt. Granted, it didn't go as planned since they came home a bit at an unexpected time. But I was just lucky that Savannah seemed like a nice girl, I don't know how did Milo not get along with her and always picked on her. Maybe it was Milo that was just in the wrong and Savannah was the one who didn't do wrong. The more I think on it, I can believe it.. Milo didn't seem to be the one who thought before his actions. Or just did actions that were risky and didn't put enough thought into it.

The loud screech of a door being open sounded, then Alton's footsteps as he marched through the house and towards another room. I wasn't sure what was going on, except for all the bending and quick actions he was doing. I couldn't see anything. I felt him jump back up, I had to grab onto his jacket to keep me stable. The next few moments, I heard the door open again and a bit a cooler and fresher air slithered it's way into my little area.

"What do you think you are doing?" A female voice asked.

"What does it look like? I'm leaving." Alton replied coldly. Not stopping or slowing his speeds down of his fast walking.

"And where are you going?" I finally recognized the voice as Savannah's.

"Why does it matter to you?"

"Alton, You wouldn't be considering going back to your Dad would you?" She called out after him, sounding like she was trying to catch up.

Alton came to a sudden halt, I could feel gravity yank me forward from the force of the stop.
"How much do you know?"

"The boys told me a bit," She replied, hearing her voice become louder, knowing she had just gotten closer.
"Your Dad, he's a man of science. He works in the lab. Clay, she was an experiment wasn't she? She was something to be tested. Then you felt bad for her and you stole her from the lab and ran away from home and stayed with your friends."

There was a moment of pause.
"You need to stop talking to them about my business.."
Alton tried to continue walking away until he was forcefully stopped, hearing Savannah's footsteps quickly jump in front of him.

"Alton, stop. Would you just listen to me? What do you have to lose?"

"My time.." Alton grumbled.

"Whatever, just shut up and listen. You and your friends are douche's, that's a fact. But Clay doesn't deserve to be tortured like that by those people. The both of you need help, and I'm willing to offer it. I'll do what I can to help get Clay where she needs to be." Savannah said sincerely.

"What can you do?"
Alton asked her.

"A place to stay, food on the table, a roof over your head." She offered.

Alton waited for a second and then said:
"I don't think that'll work, your Parents doesn't seem to like me."

"Of course they don't, but I can talk to them for you." Savannah told him.

"Don't you have little brothers? I don't think they would be really good for Clay." Alton tried to keep walking again but I could still make out the extra footsteps walking next to him that was Savannah's.

"Okay, Ozzy is just a baby, he doesn't know how to walk yet. So he isn't that much of a threat. But for Jason, he normally doesn't go into my room much. Just tell him to get out."

"Yeah, sure. Thanks for the invite, but I think I'm gonna pass."
Alton started to pick up his pace a little more so he could build some distance from the girl.
