"So what's the plan now..?" I looked down with disappointment. Seeing the ground miles below as I sat perched on Parker's shoulder. Normally, it would have kinda frightened me, but I began to grow use to it.

"I don't know, none of them will help. I don't think there's anyone else we could ask and they might even come after us and stuff.. You know, since you're not with Alton now. We might not have a lot of time."
He sighed, looking off to the side.
"I guess, we can go ahead and try to send you back."

My head shot up towards him after those words left his lips.
What?.. Try to send me back?.. Alton and Savannah have been trying to learn a skill that would help them go through the human dimension, but that was cut short when.. they came. But what would Parker do? I seriously doubt he's even been to my world before.
"A-and what.. do you intend to do? If I am sent back."

He took a second to respond.
"You might have to go through yourself."

My jaw dropped, are you kidding me?!
"Y-you actually want me to try to go through that alone? Without any clue of what to do or where to go? After I was told countless times that there's Cannibalistic Novians prowling around my home. I can't do this alone!" I wined in worry, hoping he would change his mind and go with me.

He turned his head to look down at me on his shoulder.
"Cannibalistic? Such big words for a nine year old."

"I'm ten." I corrected.

"Right, ten, sorry. Anyways, Cannibals aren't even Novians anymore. The moment they kill a human and continue to do so, they are pronounced a Cannibal. Don't compare us to them, it's kinda an insult." He turned his head away again, looking straight ahead.

"Besides eating people, what makes them more different?" I questioned, tilting my head a bit. My fingers were growing a little sore from the death grip I normally kept on Parker's shirt. Afraid of falling off if he made a drastic move.

"I-it's.. Kinda hard to explain. It's like they are wired differently. After a while of living off of humans, it's like their mind becomes more twisted." He attempted to explain, his expressions changed to a look of thought.

"So they go crazy?" I ran my hand up by the side of my head, brushing a strain of hair that kept lightly brushing over my skin.

"Not really crazy, it's more like, they go into some sort of predator stage. On the surface, they can seem like normal people, but once their instincts kick in, it isn't gonna end well."

"But what about Nick? He said he killed someone before. A human." I tried to pull myself back up onto Parker's shoulder when I felt I was starting to slip little by little.

"But he didn't continue, he's more of an Ex Cannibal. Sometimes, eating... Um.. A-a human, can have different effects on people. Most, it's like a drug. To a few, it's just disturbing. Nick is one of the few. He didn't continue, and most times he'll still travel with his parents to the human realm. Where, what I heard, they still think he's one of them, they assume he's hunting. When in reality, he's hiding from them so they think what they want and leave him alone. His parents have no idea that Nick wants to remain Novian, and from what he told me, they try to pressure him into being like them. Which is why he became so distant with them." Parker explained.

I didn't realize how tough it had to be for Nick. His parents pressures him to be something he's not. Even Nick told me once that he had actually killed someone before to make them proud. He seemed to have instantly regret it and finally see no point in doing something like that anymore.

"Maybe we should make the attempt tonight, maybe that'll be easier. In the mean time, we can go home and get some sleep cause I'm sure it'll be a hell of a night."
Parker ruffles through his dark hair with his fingers. I looked up to him.
Tonight?...
I looked down, the thought of going back wasn't bringing me any sort of comfort. I'm kinda worried about what will I find there.
