"What were you guys doing out here? What happened?" Parker begun asking me with concern.
I stared down, feeling sadness take me over.
I sniffled, trying to straighten my back out some.
"W-We were gonna go back to the human dimension, and they were talking about finding a group there that could take me in."Silence, I looked up to Parker, seeing him staring at me with some shock on his face.
His jaw was slack, but after a second, he closed his mouth, like he suddenly snapped back into reality.
"He-he was gonna take you back?" He stammered with surprise.I nodded my head to confirm him.
"T-to what? So you can become lunch?" He looked at me like I was crazy.
"They said they were gonna find a human group for me to be with." I pulled my knees up, looking down at the covers of the bed beneath me.
"Sometimes you can't just find a human colony. At this point, they should be having a survival strategy and won't come out if Novians or Cannibals are nearby. A-and what do you mean by they?"
"Alton and Savannah. They were gonna learn the skill thing.." I begun to fiddle with my fingers, a little nervous to how Parker was taking it.
He looked at me strangely for a second, not saying a word.
He sighed, looking away and shifting himself to a better position.
"Okay.. Okay.. So where you left off, was that they were learning that trick that the CTO soldiers use to go through the human dimension, and that's where you have to find a human group to take you in?" He huffed when I nodded, brushing his hair out of his eyes."Well, with Alton gone, there's not much I can do, for the part of helping you in your world. But maybe we can find help." Parker attempted a partial smile.
"Let's go." He set his hand down in front of me, I felt a little awkward but I ignored the feeling and just climbed into his huge hand anyways. His fingers curled around me as I stepped on, he cupped his other hand around me to be sure I wouldn't fall off as he picked me up and off of the bed."Be quiet for a second, my parents are still home." His fingers curled around me completely, engulfing me into darkness and warmth. His hand that held me felt like it was brought down to his side as a normal fist so it wasn't too obvious that he was hiding something, specifically hiding me.
I could hear him exit his room and going through the house."Where are you off to?" I heard a feminine voice ask.
"To my friend's house for a little while." Parker answered her casually.
"Alright, be careful." She called after him while the door leading outside seem to open.
I waited in the dark for a few seconds, it was now becoming too hot from me. The bit of heat from outside and the warmth of Parker's hand was becoming a little much. I was starting to feel restless and uncomfortable from being confined in the small space I was in. I just wanted back out. I squirmed, trying to either find a more comfortable spot, squeeze out of his hand a little bit, or to at least get my mind off of it.
But the more I moved, I realize I could barely move. Didn't help my nerves. I barely had any room to breathe.
Just on cue, he opened his hand, feeling a gust of cool air hit me, relieving me.
I took a deep breath of fresh air.
"Please, don't do that again." I begged lowly."Heh, sorry." He apologized.
"So where are we going?" I questioned him, looking around, seeing the neighborhood.
"To go see my friends." He answered simply.
"A-are you sure they'll be able to help, especially after how Alton treated them?" I slowly looked behind myself to Parker, looking at him with worry.
