«Shannon»

"Miss Anderson! Give me your phone this instant!" Mrs Eden screeched at me causing me to flinch. It's the beginning of the year and I'm already in trouble.

I reluctantly stood to my feet and walked to her desk. I heard Livia snicker from behind me and I gave my phone to the teacher.

"I hope you will get along without your phone for the rest of the week Shannon, because you won't get it back until Friday." She said and I turned away.

I walked to my desk and sat down with a huff. Is she really that stupit. I mean honestly I will get my phone back one way or another before the week ends.

The class continued boringly and soon it was lunch. I managed to get my phone back. I asked Olive to say it was hers and she needs it back. The teacher said it was fine and she gave it to her. She then gave it to me.

"So... What are you doing after school?" Livia asks and I smile. Today Alex said he would video chat with me and I can't wait.

I miss him so much.

Livia and I met almost 3 months after he left. She saw me as this quiet sad girl while she was super shy. We got along great and we stuck together ever since.

We tell each other everything. All our secrets and things we are ashamed of. Everything. She knows how attached I am and was to Alex. She doesn't say a word about it and just accepted it since we were young.

"Alex and I am going to video chat after school just to catch up." I reply and see her staring into the distance.

I follow her gaze and see she is looking at Dave. Her crush since grade 9. (We are now in grade 12)

And just as I see him I see the gorgeous specimen named Liam. His best friend a.k.a my crush since grade 9.

They are both the same age and just to top it all off they are brothers. Twin brothers to be even more clear. Not identical tho.

"That's cool." She mutters mindlessly and I roll my eyes and walk into the cafeteria. We sat at our normal seats and she was on her phone.

"Ahem." I say and she looks up.

"Yeah?" She asks and I smile.

"As my best friend you should keep me company." I smile and she puts away her phone.

"Okay sure." She smiles and we spend lunch babbling about random stuff.

The rest of the day went by fast and now I'm in my room on my bed.

My parents thought I was mature enough and they agreed to let me stay in my own apartment. I have my own car and I have my own place. They are traveling now so I don't see them often but we chat about once a month over the phone but I've grown used to it by now.

They are in town till tomorrow night. I have visited them yesterday a d spent about five hours there.

I smiled at the laptop as I waited for Alex to begin the video call.

He appeared on the screen and smiled once he saw me.

"Heya Sil!" he sings.
