«Shannon»
As the credits of the movie begins to show I look up for the first time since me and Cody stopped talking about Tom Holland.
I see the sun setting and I smile. It's beautiful to say the least.
"What are you smiling at?" he asks.
"The sunset." I reply simply.
"Oh, well," he glances at his watch, "The best is yet to come..." he says and I see the sun is just about gone under the horison and I look at him curiously.
It's quickly getting darker and I look at him with question.
He simply smiles and grab the container of donuts. He holds it out and I grab one. We eat in silence. The quietness is comforting and I smile when I hear the birds near us chirp.
I look up and see them hopping around in the tree brances and between the leaves but I look at Cody when his fingers touches my chin softly and turn my head into his direction.
"See." he whispers and kiss me. When we pull away I look around and see that it's dark, now that the sun has set, and the garder was lit up by thousands of lights.
"Wow." I say breatlessly and look around.
The tree is lit up with green lights and most of the garden is covered in different shades of colours.
"Cody... This is amazing. Thank you for doing this." I smile and wrap him up in a tight hug. When I pull away he smirks and kiss me once more.
"I would do it anytime." he says and abruptly stands to his feet. As he staightens out his clothes soft music starts to play and he holds out his hand for me to take while staring down at me.
"May I have this dance?" He asks.
"Well... You are 50th on the list... Is Tom Holland available?" I ask and he scoffs.
"No, just his upgrade." he says with a smirk.
"Really?! Where is he?" I ask and look around knowing very well he ment himself.
"You're mean today, you know that?" he says as if it is the most interesting fact on earth, he grabs my hand and pull me up.
"I know." I shrug and he smiles as he takes my hands and put them onto his shoulders and he places his around my waist.
"But I adore you anyways." he smiles and I feel like I'm going to melt.
We sway to the music and I rest my head on his chest as we move along with the slow music.
I thought about how he said adore and not love. I know for a fact I love him. I mean what's not to love but I also know I'm not ready to say that out loud.
Maybe he said adore because he doesn't really care about this. Maybe he just think this is a fling that will end after prom. He'll have to go to law school and I'm going to travel. We will most likely see each other in about ten or something years.
Or... Maybe... Just maybe he isn't ready to say it out loud as well. Maybe everything will work out in the end. Maybe we will have a future together.
The song ends and he pulls away. Me being me got sleepy while swaying and thinking to the slow song and he notice.
"You tired?" he chuckles and I nod.
"A little bit." I smile and he smiles wide showing off his white teeth.
Then he picks me up in a bridal style and walk towards the car.
"What about the stuff?" I ask and rest my head on his chest.
"Don't you worry about that." he says and then everything went black as I cuddle into his warm chest.

My phone rings, succesfully waking me up.
"Hey." I answer without looking at the screen.
"Hey Angel." I hear Cody's voice and I smile at the pet name he recently began using.
"Morning." I say.
"I just wanted to wake you up. There is some bacon and eggs in the kitchen. It's almost time to start to go to all the appointments so I'm just a wake up call until I see you tonight." he says and I get up walking to the kitchen.
I can already smell the food from the stairs.
"Thank you Cody. What are you doing today?" I ask and take the plate with food and sit down at the counter.
"I'm also getting ready for tonight... It takes time to look as good as I always do." he says and I bark out a laugh.
"Oh... Sorry, I thought I heard you say you always look good." I say and he scoffs.
"Hardy har har. I have to get going tho, so don't miss me to much, and enjoy your day." he says.
"I'm actually dreading tonight. A whole evening... With you, yay." I say in a monotone voice and he gasps.
"Remember that Shannon, I'll-"
"Bye!" I cut of his rant and end the call.
I finish eating and go up stairs to my room.
"Hey Sil." I hear Alex's voice when I walk into my room. I turn around and see him in his doorway along with Katy.
"Hey guys." I greet. Me and Katy get along good. Better than me and Raven but Katy isn't the bitch she seems to be.
She is the Queen Bitch in school and Raven just a lost puppy but she has never tried her luck with me and I'm thankfull for that. She knows I won't hold back.
She has calmed down a lot since Alex has arrived and I can't believe it but I actually hope they become something more than just friends or whatever they are now.
"Hi Shannon." She smiles and walks over to me, she gives me a quick hug and then smiles at me.
"What are you up to today?" She asks and I sigh.
"I have tons of places to be and things to do before tonight." I say and she giggles.
"I don't know why though. You look great with or without a lot of pampering." She says and Alex walks forward.
"It's true Sil." he says and wrap an arm around her waist.
"Are you both..." I say but can't find a way to finish the sentence.
"Yeah, we are." Alex smiles and kiss Katy.
"I'm happy for you both. I totally ship it." I say with a grin and they both let out a chuckle.
"Can I join you, today?" Katy asks and I nod my head. She has the money she can just pay for her part of things.
"Sure, that would be great. Just let me clean up first and I'll be down in about half an hour." I say and she nods.
"Sure thing." She smiles and I head into my room to get ready.
