«Shannon»
When class ended I went straight to the girls locker room and changed into my workout clothes.
I walked up to the team and saw Cody. I walked up to him and he smiled and I did too.
I stood in front of him and waited for him to say something but instead he slid his arms underneath mine and squeezed me. I laughed and hugged him back..
"That was awesome Shannon." He says and I smile.
"What was?" I ask. I didn't do anything right now, I just walked.
"This morning. I didn't expect it at all." He says and I laugh a bit and we let go of each other.
"Oh... yeah, but she had it coming." I shrug and he laughs.
"Yeah. Let's begin." He says and jogs to the team. We practise till the time is up and then I walk to my car.
When I get home I head upstairs and take a shower. Then I fall onto my bed and hear my phone ringing after a few moments.
I pick it up and see it's Cody.
"Hey... what's up?" I answer.
"Get ready... I'll be there is five minutes." I hear his voice and I frown.
"For what?" I ask.
"You're about to find out. Dress casual." He says and I stand up and walk to my closet.
"Fine. You better make it worth it... I was about to go to sleep." I mutter and he chuckles.
"Bye." I hear him say and I take out a pair of blue ripped skinny jeans and a nice white top and I slip on my converse. I left my hair down and it created small curls and I applied some makeup before sitting in the living room.
Alex was sitting there playing games when I heard a knock on the door.
"I got it." I say and walk to the door.
I opened it and saw Cody smiling at me. He was wearing skinny jeans that made me almost druel and a plain white t-shirt along with combat boots and a leather jacket. His hair was messy but tamed at the same time and I didn't miss the smirk while his eyes scanned my body.
"Wow Miss spy... you look great." He says and I feel heat rush to my cheeks.
"Thank you Cody... you clean up nice too." I smile and look back at Alex.
"Bye Alex!" I shout and he shouts a 'see ya' back.
I walk out and close the door. I walk behind Cody who is walking to his car. We get in and look at him.
"Why are we doing this?" I ask.
"Well Max asked Livia out on a date and we are going to the same restaurant to keep watch." He says and speeds down the road.
We make small talk until we stop in a parking by a fancy looking restaurant.
"You said dress casual..." I say and look at him pointedly.
"Yeah. We're not eating here... We're eating at the diner across the street, they should not be able to see my car tho." He says and I sigh.
He walks around the car and open my door for me and I step out by taking his offered hand. He holds onto my hand and shuts the door behind me.
He leads me to the diner across the street while still holding my hand in his.
While he is walking in front of me, pulling me behind him I pull out my phone and snap a picture of his body in front of mine and our hands joined together. In the photo you can see my arm and his along with our hands, his larger one holding my smaller one, his jeans from behind and his shirt, a person can see a bit of his face but mostly the behind.
He didn't notice what I did and I smile and put back my phone and walk next to him.
"So what's the plan?" I ask and he smiles.
"Right... well we are going to do similar to what we did by Livia's window... were just going to sit at a table like we are having diner and they'll be having an actual date at one of the booths." He says and open the door and letting me step in first.
I looked around the place and saw quite a few people at the tables and booths.
"They will arrive soon." Cody says and takes my hand again.
A waitress comes and smiles at Cody sweetly. She didn't even look at me.
I immediately felt like ripping this girls head off her body. Over the past few days my attraction towards Cody didn't lessen and I actually look forward to spending alone time with him. So yeah you can say I have a crush on him.
Now imagine how much hatred I have against this Barbie clone.
"Where would you like to sit?" Cody brings me out of my thoughts added I look up at him to find him smiling at me.
"Any space would be fine." I shrug and he smile even bigger.
"A table for two please... get us one with the least light." He says and the girl nods and begins to walk to the back of the diner.
I follow her after Cody makes space for me to pass and when she stops and turn around with a smile it fades when she looks me right in the eyes.
"I'll be back in a few minutes." She says and I roll my eyes and slide into the chair. The light is dimmed and the table is small but big enough for the plates and so on. The chairs are across from each other and there is walls behind both the chairs making a small cage.
Cody sits down and begins to laugh. I eye him and when he stops I shake my head.
"What are you laughing about?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"You... you are just... one of a kind Miss spy." He smiles and I chuckle.
"I do my best." I say and the waitress returns.
Oh joy, she's already back from her cold shower.
