While I rushed after Cody I felt my face drain of blood when I looked past his figure and saw both Livia and Liam standing at her locker, near mine.

"Please Cody!" I begged him from behind.

He just kept walking and soon we reached the couple. He ripped Liam off of Livia and threw him to the ground with one hand.

Then he straddled his waist and began punching him. His face were still looking painfull after Max's doing.

"Please stop!" I tried to run forward to them but something grabbed me and held me back. Strong arms holding me around my waist while I struggled to get out of this person's grip.

"Just let him finish Shannon. There is nothing you can do. He won't stop until he feel like it." The person said but I was so busy trying to break free I didn't match the voice to a person.

Livia is standing with her hand in front of her mouth in shock next to Allison and she looks scared for some reason.

Cody was just throwing punch after punch at Liam and although he tried to block the punches he didn't have any effect on Cody's rage, in fact it made him angrier.

"Stop Cody!" I yelled but it was like he went blank.

He stood up and pulled Liam up by his collar and shoved him against a locker, hard. He let go of one hand and punched him in the stomach.

When Liam bended forward because of the pain Cody kneed him in his private jewels, then did he release of his collar and let him fall to the ground.

He kicked him in the ribs and I was worried he would really kill him now if he didn't stop.

This wasn't like the fight Max and Liam had. Max punched to hurt. Cody is punching to kill.

There is a huge crowd around the scene and all attention is on them and occasionally me because off my pleading but I couldn't care less.

"Stop it!" I struggled on, but then when Cody wanted to kick him again Alex and Henry ran towards him and each one grabbed one of his arms. They pulled him away and I looked at Liam. He was coughing up blood and had ugly sore red and purple marks all over him.

"Let me go!" I turned around while held captive to see Max.

"You should let him calm down first." He says and slack his grip and when I get out of his arms I literally run out of his hold to where Henry, Alex and Cody is standing a few feet from my locker.

I skid to a stop and then Alex turned to me.

"What happened?" He questions, he looks really confused and I sigh.

"I'll talk about that later lets just calm him down please." I cry out and he sighs.

"Cody, listen to me bro, lets go to the gym and you can hit the puching bags. You can take out all your anger there." Henry says and I look at Cody. He lifts his eyes up and meet mine.

"Shannon... are you okay?" He asks and I keep eye contact with him.

"Are you okay?" I reply with a trembling voice and add a nod, he takes a deep breath and run a hand through his hair.

"Yeah, I'm fine." He says and the two guys look at me like I've grown another head.

"Why are you crying?" Cody asks and I take my hand and lightly put it under my eyes and sure enough I realised I'm in fact crying my eyes out.

"I didn't even notice." I say and Alex chuckles.

"Lets go." Henry says to Alex and they walk away.

I walk closer to Cody and throw my arms around his shoulders and cry.

"I thought you were going to kill him." I sob.

"I'm sorry." He says and wraps his arms around my waist holding me close. His head is in the crook of my neck and mine is resting on his shoulder.

"Don't be. I just don't get why you over reacted so much." I say.

"Because I care about you Shannon. You are part of the  little amount of things that matter to me." He says and my stomach makes a flip.

He cares.

"I care about you to Cody that is why I wanted you to stop punching him closer to death everytime your fist connected with his body." I say and he chuckles.

"Did I scare you?" He asks.

"No. You didn't but if I where Liam I would have pissed my pants." I say and he laughs and I smile and pull away from our long hug.

"Good. Just know I would never hurt the things I care about." He says and I smile.

"Cody Peterson please report to the office." The intercom announces and he sighs.

"Better go make up an excuse to stay in school." He says and I smile.

"Okay. See later." I say and I begin to walk to my class.

"Bye." He says and walk into the other direction.

The rest of the day dragged by and I didn't touch that subject or the fight the whole day through. I haven't seen Cody again but he sent a text saying he was sent home.

We went to practise and Max lead the team because of Cody's absence. Alex still didn't know about the whole story but Max said I should tell him but I'll keep him in the dark for as long as possible.

After practise Alex said we could go out for dinner and we went to Frank's Diner.

We sat in a booth and already ordered some food and drinks.

"Shannon... please tell me why Cody did what he did?" He asked just as I was about to talk about tomorrows practise.

"Why do you think I would know?" I ask.

"Well he asked you if you were okay after the fight so I just want to know what wemt down." He says and I sigh.

"Fine... Liam kinda almost raped me yesterday."
