«Shannon»

I really thought we were okay... but once again life proved me wrong.

I'm not going to lie... what he did today hurt me.

I went to the bathroom after his little stunt and I hate myself for letting a single tear fall from my eye.

Right that moment when I saw my right cheek had a black stripe on it from the tear and my eyeliner, I decided that I will ignore him for as long as it takes. Until he relises he was wrong and apologises.

I swore that I will not cry over a boy ever again. I won't because it shows weakness and I don't want that because when you show you are weak people think they can walk all over you.

I ignored all his stares he gave me through practise and when he said goodbye I just pretended like I didn't hear him.

I was still normal to the others though... they didn't do anything to me or hurt me in anyway. So why punish them for something they know nothing about?

I tried to sleep when I got home but failed, Alex said he wasn't up for a Netflix and chill night and wanted to go out. I agreed but wondered if there was anyone who would throw a party on a monday night.

"Got one!" Alex yelled and I got a fright, we've been sitting in the living room. Me thinking and him looking for parties on his social networks.

"Who's the host?" I ask.

"The girl's name is Samantha... she lives about two blocks away." He says and gets up.

"Right let me go get some better clothes and I'll be back soon." I say and he nods.

I swiched from my small shorts and baggy shirt to a cute crop top, some high waisted jeans and combat boots. The jean was ripped I decided to wear some fishnet tights underneath so it would look cool and I pulled it up so it would show above the waistline.

I had my hair in a bun and when I took out the band it fell in loose waves on my back. I brushed on a little make up and smiled at my reflection.

I jogged down the stairs and saw Alex.

"Wow, record time." He says and I laugh.

"Come on." I smile and pull him out to the sidewalk.

"Drive or walk?" I ask. He looks like he's thinking.

"Walk... I know I'm going to drink tonight and you will too so I don't want me or you driving, we'll just walk back... it isn't that far." He says and begins walking.

"Sure." I say and walk next to him.

"When is the next day off?" I ask him and he looks at his phone.

"The twenty first of this month." He says and my eyes widen.

"What is today's date?" I ask.

"The twentieth. That means tomorrow." He says and a smile appears on his face.

"Now I can get drunk and don't have to worry about a hangover at school!" I shout out.

"Yeah. This is the best news so far. How didn't I notice that tomorrow is a public holiday? It gives us  days to recover from headaches." He smiles and when he stops I see that we arrived at a house.

"Is this it?" I ask and he looks at his phone and looks up again.

"Looks like it." He says and I sigh and walk to the open door.

I peek in and see a few people there and a red headed girl comes to us.

"Hi... I'm Samantha but you can call me Sammy, the party is still young. More people will come soon, enjoy yourselves with the drinks in the kitchen, some music and a dancefloor down stairs and here is some people at the darts and pool table." She says and I smile and walk into the house.

"Thanks Sammy." I smile and she nods when a guy comes and grabs her, pulling her away.

"Let's go!" I shout and pull Alex to the kitchen.

After a few drinks and about an hour later there where more people and a person can actually see it's a party and not just a study date.

We began drinking and making conversation with some other people.

Alex and I were a bit tipsy about now and I was dancing along the music. The lights were off and the DJ played awesome tunes.

Alex was in front of me and I was dancing like there was no tomorrow. I was enjoying myself. Someone was behind me but I was just no interested on knowing who it was.

A blond girl came and danced against Alex and he turned to her and danced with her.

I turned around and smiled once I saw who was behind me.

He was hot to say the least, he had blond hair and beautiful light brown eyes, his smile showed his pearly white teeth and I could see he was build well.

"Hey." I say and move a little closer.

"Hi. I like your moves." He says and I smile.

"Yours isn't to bad either." I hear him chuckle and then the song speeds up. He grabs my hand and in a smooth move he twirls me twice and let me roll into his arms.

My body is flush against his and his hand rests on my waist while the other one is still holding my hand.

"Do you want a drink?" He asks and I nod my head and walk with him to the kitchen.

He gets us two beers and I smile and take it from him.

We began to talk and I noticed that he looked around a lot. He is a player, anyone could see that and I didn't worry actually... he was just keeping me company.

He moves closer and closer. Now he's standing against me and his lips is hovering above mine.

"Can I kiss you?" He asks and I get memories in my mind about Cody, he said the same thing to me.

All sorts of moments with Cody flashes through my mind, the time we went on a date to keep an eye on Livia and Max, how perfect he looked every he smiled brightly and took a sip of his chocolate milkshake, his eyes glancing to Max and Livia every now and then, how his eyes will light up when a idea comes into his mind while I talk about something.

The day when Alex just came to school, how Cody looked at me while I just sat with Alex and Livia.

The practicing.

The laughs.

The smiles.

The jokes...

I snap out of it and pull my head away from his and step out of his presence.

"I-I have to go." I say hastily and put down the drink. I feel my eyes starting to water and I curse internally while I duck out of his hold and begin to walk, searching for Alex as I do so.
