«Cody»
The drive was filled with both of us singing along to the songs on the radio and if I have to admit it I'm actually happy again.
These last few days have been rough, my dad kept on pestering me about the law thing and my future, Shannon not talking to me made it harder.
I stop outside Max's house and get out, meeting Shannon in front of the car. I smile down at her and she takes my hand in hers and inlace our fingers. Then she pulls me to the door where there is already music coming from.
The party is almost on full swing and I am so thankfull she locked out fingers together otherwise I would have lost her in the sea of people.
There is a bunch of people grinding and somewhat dancing on the makeshift dancefloor and the DJ is playing some great tracks. Up the stairs is just as much people like on the bottom and I would hate to be the one to clean all this mess up.
Shannon is pulling me somewhere and I follow her while she takes some turns through the house.
We finally stop and I see Max standing with Livia under his arm she is holding onto him with a smile and I look at him and see his smile is just as bright as his eyes.
I place my hand on Shannon's hip and pull her into my side. I feel she is tense and I just want her to relax and enjoy the night.
"Hey guys! Glad you finally made it." Max says and I smile at him.
"Yeah." I say but I can feel the tension between the two girls standing here.
"Shannon. I wanted to talk to you tonight." I hear Livia say and Shannon grows stiff under my touch. I move my hand a little so that she knows I'm here for her and I feel her lean into my side.
"Go ahead then." She shrugs and Livia takes in a deep breath.
"Well... To start off I wanted to appologise. I was childish and stupid. I didn't want to hurt you and when Raven actually began to hurt your feelings and break your relationship with Cody I said I wanted out. I feel shit about the way I acted and I hope you can forgive me." The girl says and I realise that she and Raven teamed up against Shannon.
"I miss you and I hope we can be friends after this. I know you better than most people amd I used that to my advantage and I'm so, so sorry. I also wanted to thank you for helping Max to do the right things to impress me, you really are the best person and no one could compare to you." She continues when Shannon stays silent.
"It's fine Livia. I missed you too and we can be friends but just not so close as we were. I'm focusing on the me and the person standing next to me. I have a lot going on but just know that I forgive you and that I don't blame you for anything." Shannon says and my heart beats faster.
She is focusing on us.
Just us.
"Friends?" Livia asks.
"Friends." Shannon confirms and pull her into a hug. She returns to my side and Max smiles at us all when they leave.
"Let's go dance." I say and she nods her head and I lead her to the middle of the crowd.
She starts moving to the beat and I smile as she gets pushed up against my body. I start to move along with her rhythm and we both enjoy a few hours of just laughing and dancing. It was just me and Shannon in all of the conversations.
No one tried to get involved and I was thankful for that. It was just me and her, we decided to go to her house at about 11 o'clock and I grew nervous. I had to ask her an improtant question and I wasn't prepared at all.
We arrived at her apartment and went in. We eventually ended up in her bed with her laptop on and watching movies while cuddling up against each other. Her wearing my shirt I wore just a few hours ago and some really short shorts, me in my boxers and without a shirt.
"Shannon?" I ask in the middle of the film.
"Mmhm?" She hums.
"I would like to take you to meet my parents." I blurt out.
"What?" She asks.
"I would like you to meet my parents." I repeat.
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Yes. Is tomorrow alright?" I ask and hope she says yess.
"Uhm... Sure, I guess." she says and I breath a sigh of relief.
"Thank you." I say.
"For?" She asks.
"Being you." I say and she cuddles into my chest almost asleep.
"Night Cody." She yawns.
"Night Miss spy." I reply and shut the laptop placing it on the side table and shuffling to get more comfortable.
"I love you." I whisper softly when I know she's asleep and kiss her top of her head and pull her closer to me before falling asleep with the most amazing girl in the universe in my arms.

I open my eyes slowly when I feel the bed shift.
"Sorry. Did I wake you?" I see Shannon crawling on the bed.
"Yeah but it's fine." I say and yawn. I hear her chuckle and sit down next to me.
"When are we going to your parents?" She asks while playing with her fingers. I take my hand and inlace our fingers and smile at her.
"Whenever you want." I say and she smiles.
"Can we do it as early as possible. I want to get it over and done with, it's already eight so we can maybe be there at ten?" She says and I nod my head.
"I have a question..." I say slowly and turn onto my side.
"Shoot." She says.
"Why isn't your parents involved in your life?" I ask and she furrowes her eyesbrows and looks at me.
"You don't have to answ-" I begin but she cuts me off.
"No... It's fine." She says and turns so that she is sitting crossed legged facing me. Her knee touching my torso and my hand resting on hers in the middle of her legs.
She takes a deep breath and then begins telling me about her parents.
