We found him addressing a crowd who were kneeling. An elderly man stood up to defy Loki. I jumped out of the back of the jet and landed in front of the man. I brought up my shield to block the blast that Loki had shot at the guy.
"You know," I drawled standing up, "the last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing."
Loki smirked, "The soldier. A man out of time."
"First off, I'm a woman. Second off, I'm not the one who's out of time," I said. The jet hovered above me.
"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down," Romanoff said over the radio. Loki sent a blast at the jet. The jet quickly moved out of the way of the blast. I threw my shield at Loki. It bounced off his chest and I caught it. I moved forward and punched him in the face. It didn't even phase him. He went to hit me with his scepter but I blocked two of his attempts with my shield. His third swing hit me in the gut which sent me flying backwards. I hit the ground and did a backwards somersault to land in a kneeling position. I threw my shield at Loki again. Loki smacked my shield away. I went to punch him again but he dodged it. He swung his scepter at me and I bended backwards to miss it. He swung again and it hit the ground to my right. I punched him in the gut, he moved to the right as I swung again. He hit me in the back and I went flying. I landed on the ground and pushed myself up to kneel. Loki put the scepter on the back of my head.
"Kneel," he snarled.
"Not today," I pushed the scepter away, jumped up, and kicked him in the face. Loki grabbed me and threw me. I rolled across the ground. Out of nowhere music started playing. I looked up to see the Iron Man suit coming toward us. Iron Man shot Loki and landed in front of me. He stood up from his kneeling position and pointed pretty much every weapon he had at Loki.
"Make a move reindeer games," he said.
I grabbed my shield and stood next to him. Loki put his hands up.
"Good move," he said as he dropped his weapons.
"Mr. Stark," I greeted.
"Captain," he greeted back.
Romanoff landed the jet and we loaded up Loki. I threw him into a seat and cuffed him. We started back to the helicarrier. Tony took off his helmet and was standing near the front of the jet. I moved over to stand next to him.
"I don't like it," I whispered.
"What?" he asked, "Rock of Ages giving up so easily?"
I sighed, "I don't remember it being ever that easy. This guy packs a wallop."
"Still," Tony drawled, "you are pretty spry, for an older lady. What's your thing? Pilates?"
I frowned, "What?" Where is all of this coming from? He never talked to me like this.
"It's like calisthenics," he explained, "You might have missed a couple things, you know, doing time as a Capsicile."
I looked over at him. If he was going to be an ass, two could play at that game. "Fury didn't tell me he was bringing you in."
"There's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you."
I turned away as he subtly mentioned the fact that Eyepatch was hiding things from me earlier. Suddenly thunder and lightning came out of nowhere.
"Where's this coming from?" Romanoff asked.
I turned to Loki, "What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?"
"I'm not overly fond of what follows," Loki stated.
I glanced at Tony to see if he was confused as I was. Good, he was. Tony put his helmet back on and opens the back hatch. A guy lands on it. Tony goes to attack but the guy sends him flying backwards into me. We pushed ourselves up as the guy grabbed Loki and flew out of the jet.
