Ultron

"Worthy..." a robotic voice drawled, "No... How could you be worthy? You're all killers." One of the Legionnaire suits came walking out.

"Stark," I said.

"Jarvis," Tony said pulling out his phone.

"I'm sorry," the robot said, "I was asleep. Or... I was a dream."

Tony tapped on his phone, "Reboot, Legionnaire, we got a buggy suit."

"There was a terrible noise..." the robot explained, "and I was tangled in... in... strings. I had to kill the other guy. He was a good guy."

"You killed someone?" I asked.

"Wouldn't have been my first call. But, down in the real world we're faced with ugly choices."

"Who sent you?" Thor asked.

"I see a suit of armor around the world," the robot replied in Tony's voice.

"Ultron," Bruce said.

"In the flesh," Ultron said, "Or, no, not yet. Not this...chrysalis. But I'm ready. I'm on a mission."

"What mission?" Natasha questioned.

"Peace in our time," Ultron stated before three other bots attacked us.

I kicked up the table in front of me at one of the bots. The table came back at me and I ended up on the floor with it on top of me. I pushed it off of my, kicked off my shoes and ran at one of the bots. I jumped up and landed on its back. I tried to pull out some of its circuits but it flew backwards into the wall then threw me to the ground.

"Stark!" I yelled.

"One sec," he yelled back.

I grabbed the half bot that was going after Dr. Cho and threw it to Thor. "Thor!" I yelled. He brought his hammer down on it causing it to break apart.

"Cap!" Clint yelled as he threw my shield to me. I caught then flung it at the remaining bot. It broke apart on impact.

"That was dramatic!" Ultron exclaimed, "I'm sorry, I know you mean well. You just didn't think it through. You want to protect the world, but you don't want it to change. How is humanity saved if it's not allowed to...evolve?" He picked up the broken Legionnaire, "With these? These puppets? There's only one path to peace: The Avengers' extinction."

Thor threw his hammer at Ultron breaking the bot. Bruce and Tony made their way to the lab. Thor went after the Legionnaire that took the scepter. The rest of us filed into the lab.

"All our work is gone," Bruce said, "Ultron cleared out, used the internet as an escape hatch."

"Ultron," I said in disgust.

"He's been in everything," Natasha said, "Files, surveillance. Probably knows more about us than we know about each other."

"What if he wants to access something a little more exciting?" Rhodey asked.

"Nuclear codes," Bucky stated.

"Nuclear codes," Rhodey agreed, "Look, we need to make some calls, assuming we still can."

"Nukes?" Natasha questioned, "He said he wanted us dead."

"He didn't say dead," I told her, "He said extinct."

"He also said he killed somebody," Clint added.

"But there wasn't anyone else in the building," Bucky stated.

"Yes there was," Tony said. He pulled up a 3D image of Jarvis.

"This is insane," Bruce breathed.

"Jarvis was the first line of defense," I said, "He would've shut Ultron down, it makes sense."
