***56 years later***
For the past two years I had been wandering on my own trying to figure out where I was. Nothing looked familiar anymore. There were too many loud noises. Nothing made sense anymore. I couldn't remember anything from my past. Ever since I woke up in a Hydra base and escaped, I've been on the run. I was lucky Hydra never came looking for me. Or maybe I wasn't because now I was surrounded by a bunch of men in black suits.
"Captain Rogers," a black guy with an eye patch said, "You need to stand down."
Like hell that was happening. I had no idea who this guy was, hell I didn't even know who I was. I tightened my grip on the gun that I had stolen from the Hydra agent I killed when I escaped.
"Fury," a female with a British accent said stepping forward, "You're scaring her." The woman smiled at me. I knew her, but she looked older then the last time I saw her. If only I could remember her name. The woman continued talking, "Kennedy, do you know who I am?"
I cocked my head then nodded.
She smiled wider, "Great. Now why don't you drop the gun and we can go somewhere and talk."
I reluctantly dropped the gun and took a step closer to her. She didn't make a move to touch me but ushered me to a car. It was a really fancy car, nothing like the ones I had seen before. I stopped just before the car. The woman opened to door and motioned for me to get in. I cautiously got in. I didn't trust these people, but fighting them wasn't going to get me anywhere. No one spoke for the whole drive. The car stopped at some building. I was then lead to what I assumed was an interrogation room. The woman stopped the big men with a frown.
"Fury this isn't necessary," she snapped.
"It is," the man she called Fury said, "She's dangerous. She tore through 10 highly trained men back there."
Yeah, I did do that, but they had attacked me first. It was self-defense.
The woman glared at Eyepatch, "As long as I'm here she will not be treated like a criminal."
"No one is treating her like a criminal," Eyepatch protested, "All we want is answers."
The woman sighed, "Fine, ask, but after that I'm taking her California with me."
California? What the hell was in California?
Eyepatch looked over at me, "Captain Rogers if you would please go into the room to talk to us."
He wanted to know how and why I was where I was.
"I don't have answers for you," I said quietly, "I don't know anything. I don't know you. I don't even know who I am. All I know is that there are people after me and I need to keep moving."
Eyepatch stared at me for a while and then turned to the woman, "Take her. See what you can get her to remember. We need Captain America."
"Captain America?" I questioned.
The woman smiled, "Come on. I'll explain everything on the plane." She led me down to a hangar. She paused before walking into the hangar.
"Is something wrong?" I asked.
She shook her head, "No, I just thought of something. I'm assuming that you would like to get cleaned up and out of the uniform."
I looked down at what I was wearing. I wasn't really sure where I got. I woke up in it. I didn't have time to question my wardrobe. Whoever dressed me was a monster because this thing was ghastly. I looked back up at the woman and nodded. She smiled again then led me to a room. She seemed to smile a lot, but it was only at me. She was angry with Eyepatch, but she was nice to me. She was familiar, maybe I used to know her.
