A few minutes later Romanoff was radioing to Tony.

"Stark," she said, "We're heading Northeast on your 3."

"What, did you stop for drive-thru?" he asked, "Swing up park, I'm gonna lay 'em out for you."

Barton swung the jet around and stopped. Romanoff shot at the aliens that went flying by after Tony went back. After that he flew toward the tower.

"Nat," he said nodding toward the window.

"I see them," Romanoff responded.

Barton banked the jet so it faces the tower. Before Romanoff could shoot at Loki, he shot a blast and took out the left wing. The jet started crashing. Barton skillful landed it in the street. We all got out and ran toward the tower.

"Stark, are you seeing this?" I asked.

"Seeing," he replied, "Still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?"

"Banner?" I questioned.

"Just keep me posted," he said.

We ran farther up the street. Bucky and I ducked behind one flipped taxi while Romanoff and Barton ducked behind another one. I looked up over the car, "Those people need assistance down there."

Romanoff looked over at me, "We got this. It's good. Go!"

"You think you can hold them off?" I asked.

Barton smirked, "Captain, it would be my genuine pleasure." He shot an arrow into an alien, that arrow then took down three more aliens. I nodded and looked to Bucky.

He nodded toward the people, "Go get 'em, Cap. I'll help here."

I nodded again and leapt over the car and then over the side of the bridge. I ran on the top of a bus and then launched myself off of it as it exploded. I ran down to where some officers were shooting at the aliens. I jumped on top of one of their cars. Two officers turned to look at me.

"I need men in those buildings," I order, "There are people inside that can run into the line of fire. You take them through the basement or through the subway. You keep them off the streets. I need a perimeter as far back as 39th."

One of the officers frowned, "Why the hell should I take orders from you?"

Something exploded behind me. I turned around as two aliens came over. I fought them both off.

"I need men in those buildings," the officer told his men, "lead the people down and away from the streets. I need a perimeter as far back as 39th."

I fought my way back to where I left the others. I whacked some aliens with my shield as I joined them again. Lightning came out of nowhere and fried the aliens. Thor landed next to us.

"What's the story upstairs?" I asked.

"The powers surrounding the cube is impenetrable," Thor answered.

"Thor is right," Tony chimed in, "We gotta deal with these guys."

"How do we do this?" Romanoff asked.

I glanced at Bucky, who only smirked, before I answered, "As a team."

"I have unfinished business with Loki," Thor stated.

"Yeah," Barton huffed, "get in line."

"Save it," I snapped, "Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild." I started walking backwards giving orders, "We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us..." I trailed off as I heard a motorbike come up behind me. I turned around to see Banner showing up.
