The 15-year-old Chaeyoung felt tired.

She was here on earth, alive and awake while her mother and brother were 6-feet under, lying there lifeless.

Chaeyoung laid down on the bed Taehyung offered her. 3 years ago, the two met and they instantly clicked. Chaeyoung knew Taehyung as the suicidal kid from hospital, he was admitted in the hospital because of his countless suicide attempts and Taehyung suddenly met her on the rooftop, who had the same plans as him. When Taehyung saw Chaeyoung, he saw himself and it made him guilty, he made other people worry about him because of his suicidal attempts and when he met Chaeyoung, he was sure as hell that he'd protect the little girl. And 3 years from then, the two never separated, Taehyung gave Chaeyoung shelter and love when no one else did. They shared a sibling-bond, because Taehyung was apparently an older brother to two kids who are dead and he saw Chaeyoung as his little sister. Chaeyoung was still awkward with how things went fast, they just met in the hospital but now they were living together but soon, she came to grew fond of Taehyung as an older brother. Taehyung served as her pillar, her new hope and only faith in life.

Sometimes, Chaeyoung would see the cuts on Taehyung's wrists whenever he wears a short-sleeved shirt and it would remind her of how devastated Taehyung looked back in the hospital. He was suicidal because his two little siblings died in a car accident and no one cared for them unlike him who loved them as if they were his world. Chaeyoung felt happy when Taehyung brought up his sexuality, somehow Chaeyoung felt herself getting closer with Taehyung when he came out as "bisexual" because she clearly understands the feeling. Then, Taehyung offered her a college scholarship in Korean Multi-Arts University, because he saw how marvelous Chaeyoung works with a brush and a canvas, whenever she paints, she puts her feelings on the brush and let her heart control her hand.

At first, Chaeyoung wasn't sure about going but when she felt welcomed by Taehyung's friends, she slowly let her walls down and opened her heart for her new friends. And here she is now, inside her very own studio in K-Multi-Arts University, and everyone absolutely loves her artworks.

Chaeyoung sighed upon remembering the memory, she smiled lightly when she remembered how sad Taehyung's eyes were and now his brown orbs only showed happiness. She looked into her orbs and saw nothing but emptiness. Taehyung was overdosed with happiness when he met Jungkook. And Chaeyoung wonders if she'll be like that once Cupid shoots her heart.

Soon, she heard the door open and close. She immediately washed her face and heard a familiar low voice.

"Where's my sister Chaeyoungie?" She heard a cute voice yet it was still low.

She smiled and walked out of the bathroom, "here I am, here I am." She sang loudly and saw Taehyung sitting on the sofa, he wore his usual white shirt and checkered gucci coat together with denim pants.

"Yo, Chaengcasso!" He greeted and smiled widely, Chaeyoung replied with a hum. "You're too cold, why not smile back?"

Chaeyoung turned her heels to face Taehyung and faked a gummy smile which made the latter laugh.

"Do you see yourself? You look hilarious!" He laughed out loud and it made Chaeyoung's heart melt. Just to see him laugh made her content with her day. Because who wouldn't? This was Kim Taehyung, the one who made her feel loved when she was giving up.

Chaeyoung hummed and sat in front of Taehyung with a swivel chair, she noticed that Taehyung was smiling at her. She raised a brow to emphasize her silent question.

"Thank you." Taehyung said and smiled softly.

"For what?" Chaeyoung asked.

"For agreeing in attending the showcase in 14. You know, you really avoided everyone who pushed you into that very event." Taehyung said in a reminiscing voice, he breathed heavily.

"I just, it's just a miracle for you to agree and attend."

Chaeyoung shrugged, "well, what do you say? It's my last year here in college. I have to at least face some of my fears and fulfill my college life."

Taehyung smiled widely and chuckled, "that's the spirit! By the way, I'll be the judge so I'll give you high points." He winked and wriggled his eyebrows.

"You don't have to do that, I can manage on my own." She said and Taehyung stared at her in awe.

Years ago, Chaeyoung would always look for Taehyung for help, she would often call his name and cry for help because of her nightmares or whenever she can't do anything. She would say that she gives up and Taehyung comes to the rescue and give her such motivating words which made her motivated. Taehyung smiled sadly but still, happiness was felt.

"Chaeyoung is growing independent, huh."
