Chapter 14

Chaeyoung decided to have a stroll inside the hospital since she didn't have anything to do. Also, she dismissed Sana and told the nurse that she'll be back in her room by 11:35, and it is currently 11:48. Chaeyoung is thankful that Sana may have forgotten about her taking a stroll. Oh, and Taehyung and Jungkook is with Sana.

Chaeyoung hummed an unfamiliar tune while walking, she fashionably showed the doctors that she was obviously fine, no more complications and she just wished to walk out of this hospital. While walking though, she remembered a certain girl, the girl who she saved from falling from the rooftop, the girl who never even gave her a smile nor a show of gratitude. Chaeyoung smiled at the thought of seeing her again.

And as if the heavens above heard her small prayer, the girl that she's thinking about appeared in front of her. Wearing a white coat while her black hair simply lay there, she had her elbows on the counter while she held a clipboard and a pen, maybe checking if she's done her rounds inside the hospital. Chaeyoung secretly approached Mina as the latter felt someone staring at her, she glanced to her side and saw Chaeyoung smiling.

Mina faced Chaeyoung and held a serious face, "Son Chaeyoung-ssi," She called.

Chaeyoung's insides rejoiced once she heard her full name roll off of Mina's majestic tongue, and how lovely it was to hear Mina's voice calling her.

"What are you doing outside your room? It will worsen your condition." Mina stated, her face not wavering as Chaeyoung's smile widened.

"So you're worried?" Chaeyoung asked, in hopes of her answering "yes".

Mina sighed, she looked at her wrist watch and looked back to Chaeyoung. "I am worried as a doctor." Mina explained.

Chaeyoung's eyes soon landed on Mina's name tag,

Myoui Mina

Nothing else. Normally, she would see their profession below their names but Chaeyoung did not see anything but her precious name.

"Chaeyoung-ssi, please go back to your room."

Chaeyoung pouted, "what if I don't want to?"

Mina sighed again, "then don't, I have to go."

"Okay then.." Chaeyoung pouted and she was sure that Mina stared at her lips before her legs started to walk away from her, Chaeyoung was about to walk away too but she heard someone's voice calling the name of the girl that caught her attention.

"Mina! I haven't seen you in a while," Chaeyoung turned her heels around and saw a man towering Mina with his incredible height, his lips turned into a grin and his eyes focused in every bit of Mina's body, not her face. "We're in the same hospital yet we don't cross our paths!" His voice was full of enthusiasm, almost as if he planned to do this. Chaeyoung's feet took small steps towards them and Mina turned to her side, she looked displeased.

"Dr. Shin, it's not necessary for us to meet inside the hospital. Both of us know that we are both busy with our duties." Mina calmly explained, her voice was calm yet her eyes were squinted as if she wanted to kill the man before her.

Dr. Shin laughed, "oh come on Mina," he effortlessly let his hand slide on Mina's arm, thankfully she wore a white coat as his. "Stop being so cold!"

Mina slapped his hand away and looked at her wrist again, sighing she answered, "I have a meeting by later, I have to go." Mina said and was about to walk away when a hand stopped her again.

"Oh come on, maybe I can keep you company? Right? I'm one of the best Dermatologists in this hospital! I'm sure I can be of help?" Dr. Shin grinned.

"Dr. Shin, it's a meeting for Neurologists. I am very sure that your profession does not have any concern with them."

Dr. Shin looked like he was not giving up, the nurses around them just gave them stares and glares because they know how insistent Dr. Shin was whenever it comes to people he likes, he acted creepy. Once Chaeyoung got near them, her voice sounded out.

"Dr. Myoui?" She called formally, Mina turned her heels and met Chaeyoung's gaze, she looked at Chaeyoung in disbelief. But Chaeyoung did not budge, instead she put on a facade. "It is you, Dr. Myoui!" She put on a happy and relieved face, as if she was practized to do this.

She walked closer, her fingers pulled the hem of Mina's white coat like a kid, "Dr. Myoui was late! Aha," she giggled like a child.

"Who are you?" Dr. Shin asked in annoyance.

Chaeyoung's eyes met his, her gaze started to sharpen as if she wanted to punch him but she remained her calm and excited persona, "I'm Dr. Myoui's patient! She promised to visit Chaeyoung everyday in this time! But Dr. Myoui was late so I came out of my room!" She explained in a childlike way.

Dr. Shin frowned, he glanced at the people staring at them, he cleared his throat, "ah I forgot, I also have a meeting around this time." Then with that, he walked away from the scene.

"Chaeyoung-ssi, what the heck?" Mina asked but Chaeyoung did not listen, instead, her gaze was focused on Dr. Shin.

"That doctor was rude." Chaeyoung commented and crossed her arms, "I'm alright with the information that he's one of the best Dermatologists in this hospital but he should have kept it professional."

Mina sighed, "Chaeyoung-ssi, you shouldn't have interfered."

"And what? Let him harass you in front of everyone? I won't let that happen." She hissed.

"You're a patient."

Chaeyoung met her eyes, it made her knees weak. "And as your patient, I also have the responsibility to keep in touch with you."

"Who said I was-"

"Now, go to your meeting and have fun~" Chaeyoung grinned like a child and hummed before skipping towards her room.

Mina stood there dumbfoundedly, she watched how Chaeyoung skipped towards her room. The sight of the small patient made her heart skip a beat, a smile made its way towards her lips.
