"how can we trust you?" Irene asks Jin once he ended the call. "Namjoon is one of Eunji's goons, how can we trust them?"

"yeah, what if this is just Eunji's plan to set us up?" Seulgi adds.

Jin shakes his head, "I may not be one or Eunji's goons, but I can assure you, Namjoon stays true to his words."

"it's surprising to find out that Professor Jung is working for Eunji." Jungkook shakes his head, "I thought he was innocent."

"Hoseok only agreed to work for Eunji because the girl told him that she'll double his pay. plus, Hoseok's job is to update Eunji on what's happening to Chaeyoung." Jin explained.

"Eunji gave Chaeyoung the offer to attend this university and that's when she offered Namjoon a huge amount of money for him to shut up and obey her." Jin adds.

"wait, you guys are getting paid?" Taehyung groans, "I only get death threats, good for you."

Momo frowns, "where is Chaeyoung anyways?"

Taehyung looks around and notices that Chaeyoung wasn't here.

"maybe she's with Mina," Jungkook answers and looks at Taehyung.

Taehyung nods slowly, "let her be. I've already done my part to keep them apart and it's obvious that I failed."

Dahyun smiles, "I'm a bit glad that you failed." she quietly chuckles to herself, "Chaeyoung found what she was looking for."

"but Mina and Chaeyoung are in danger. Eunji will do everything to keep them apart, still not realizing the consequences of her actions." Jin counters Dahyun's words.

"still, they found each other again. after waiting for years in the dark, their memories are slowly returning and I've never seen Chaeyoung this happy."

Taehyun nods at that, he can't help but tear up. all these years that he tried to make Chaeyoung happy, to keep the couple from meeting, he didn't realize that keeping Chaeyoung away from Mina was like keeping the girl away from her happiness. Mina was the light that Chaeyoung had been searching for in the darkness and Taehyung did nothing but darken the situation more.

"if only Minji didn't die.." Taehyung lets out a heavy sigh. "the reason why Eunji is out of her mind is because she believes that Mina is the antagonist of her life."

"so if we're going to think about it, Minji is also one of Eunji's weakness." Jungkook sits on one of the chairs, "Minji is the reason why Eunji started this mess and I'm sure that Minji is the only one who can stop Eunji."

"but how? Minji is.. already gone." Irene asks.

then, the door opens which reveals Namjoon, his eyes were sparkling.

"I've thought of a solution." Namjoon presents and invites himself in the room, closing the door.

"Eunji always tells me stories about Minji whenever she's drunk and Jin is there to witness that. if I remember clearly, she said that Minji told her to donate her organs to whoever will need it."

"where are you going with this?"

"we need to ask Dr. Park if a transplant is one of the options to treat Chaeyoung, we're going to use Minji's heart and transfer it to Chaeyoung."

"then what will be the result?"

"we can fool Eunji into thinking that Minji is still alive, and she is! her heart is beating inside Chaeyoung and that is proof enough." Namjoon snaps his fingers, "that way, we won't need to throw Eunji in prison and no one dies, no one will suffer anymore."

"but how? Eunji is the director of this hospital, I'm sure that she'll know that we're going to use Minji's heart." Seulgi counters.

the door opens again and reveals Chaeyoung holding Mina's hand.

"I'll help." Mina says, "I'll do everything to make her agree."

"what exactly will you do?" Jin squints his eyes.

"she wants to see me desperate, she's satisfied in just seeing me frowning. so I'll beg for her to agree."

"what? are you serious?" Jungkook asks Mina.

Mina nods, "if it's for Chaeyoung, surely Eunji will give in. plus, I'll do anything to have Chaeyoung live, even if it means giving up my own life."

Mina's hold on Chaeyoung's hand tightens as she feels Chaeyoung's gaze on her, she stares back at the latter and gives her an assuring smile.

"Mina?" Chaeyoung asks, "are you serious about this?"

Mina smiles, "I'm not." she gives Chaeyoung's hand a light squeeze, "but I'm sure about you." she sweetly says before kissing Chaeyoung's forehead.

Mina is ready to risk it all for Chaeyoung.
