Chapter 44

"I'll help." Mina says, "I'll do everything to make her agree."

Mina sighs as she was standing in front of the director's wooden door, staring at the knob. She's hesitating, her heart was beating fast, she knew she had to do this. Eunji knows that she's on the other side of the door and is only waiting for her to twist the knob and open the door to talk to her.

"Mina?" Chaeyoung asks, "are you serious about this?"

Mina's grip on the knob tightens, she remembers the reason why she is going to talk to Eunji. It's all for Chaeyoung, it's all for Minji, it's all for her twin sister's.. first love.

"I'm not." She gives Chaeyoung's hand a light squeeze, "but I'm sure about you." She sweetly says before kissing Chaeyoung's forehead.

Mina is ready to risk it all for Chaeyoung. She was sure as hell that she was ready to risk all of it for the sake of her girlfriend's life. It felt wrong to call her girlfriend, it's supposed to be Minji calling Chaeyoung that endearment but Mina just couldn't help but like the younger one, especially with the past that they have.

Mina is starting to remember everything, she's discarding all of the things that she heard and believed from what their sofu had told her. That Chaeyoung was her imaginary friend and she doesn't exist, and that she deserved everything that happened to her.

She twists the knob slowly and opens the door, closing it behind her and she meets the gaze of her youngest sister. Her heart softens at the sight of her sister's sad expression.

"Oh, so you've already grown balls to open the goddamn door. God knows how long you've been standing out there." Eunji greets her sarcastically.

Mina closes her eyes and clenches her fists, she breathes in. "Let's talk," she opens her eyes and sees Eunji's eyebrow raised. "Now isn't the time for these comments."

"So when is it time? Call me, I'll be ready to open my mouth anytime you're ready." Eunji laughs.

"I'm serious."

"Oh so you think I'm not?" Eunji's gaze turns serious, she approaches Mina before slapping her sister, not showing any remorse when she falls on the floor. Mina regained her posture and kneeled, tears were falling from her eyes and she knew Eunji was also crying.

Mina's face was stinging but she sure knew that Eunji's palm also hurt, Eunji then kneeled in front of Mina and started to jab her finger at her sister.

"It's all of your fault! That Chaeyoung thinks I'm the enemy!"

"I..I'm sorry, Eunji. I just.."

"No. Enough with your apologies, I'm tired of hearing them!"

"I didn't kill Minji! I didn't, I didn't!" Mina cries, remembering her last moment with Minji, they were hugging for Pete's sake and she just.. left.

"It's not about her anymore, it's about your lies!" Eunji harshly pushes Mina to the ground, Mina tries to stand up but Eunji holds her shoulders to hold her in her place.

"I'm fucking tired with all the lies that has escaped your mouth!"

Mina cries, she holds Eunji's wrist, "Please.. Just.. If you want to kill me, please let Chaeyoung live."

"What makes you think that I'm going to let the girl who let my sister die, live?" Eunji asks, almost sounding crazy. "And you think that I'm going to let her use Minji's heart?! She's the one who killed Minji, why are you even defending her!?"

Mina cries and shakes her head, "No.. she didn't.. kill Minji." She looks into Eunji's eyes, pleading. "Believe me, you've got it all wrong. She didn't kill Minji.."
