Chapter 39

Mina sat on her swivel chair, her friends all inside her office while Sana poured herself a drink.

"I told you it wasn't a bad idea to bring alcohol." Jihyo snickered.

"Ah, you were an angel back in college, where did that angel go?" Tzuyu asked. "Not that I don't like this version of you."

Jihyo rolled her eyes, "shut up we weren't even going to the same university."

Sana chuckled, "the reason why we're here is because Mina wanted to talk but she's still staring at the ceiling."

Mina sighed, "it's not that easy, Sana."

"For us it isn't. Just tell us already! Not like we haven't known you for years." Sana rolled her eyes sarcastically and Tzuyu laughed.

"Gosh she's so impatient. When she said Chaeyoung is related, expect Mina to be speechless."

Jihyo laughed, "true."

Mina rolled her eyes, "I just.. don't know if I should have these feelings for Chaeyoung.."

Sana stared at her, "are you kidding me? Mitang, you've been in love with Chaeyoung ever since you played with her in the playground!"

"But it's different right now! Eunji met Chaeyoung again, I don't know what else she would do to keep us apart." Mina sighed and massaged her temples, "I know that she's been hiring people to keep us from seeing each other again."

"True, she did hire people to do that but did she succeed? Of course not, Chaeyoung is here, and you're with her. Eunji isn't enough to stop you." Sana told her.

"I'm just.. scared for Chaeyoung.." Mina frowned. "Eunji has gone insane after Minji's death."

Tzuyu hummed, "well, let's just hope that things go well between you and Chaeyoung and that Eunji will realize that she isn't for the girl you like."

Mina stared at Tzuyu, she wasn't scared because Eunji hates her. She was scared that the time Eunji will finally claim Chaeyoung and that only will happen when she's dead. Mina opened her drawer and grabbed something, she threw it on her table and her friends stared at it. Jihyo walked towards it and saw that it was black envelopes with a red seal. Jihyo opened one and her eyes widened.

"Death threats?"

Chaeyoung stared at the clock inside her room, all of her friends were sleeping because they were exhausted due to schoolworks. Momo, Dahyun and Seulgi already appeared saying that they were late because they had to continue the event for the founder's birthday and that Chaeyoung's song wasn't released and they were sorry that they couldn't do anything. Apparently, Yugyeom was a bit mad about Chaeyoung always bailing their schedule.

Chaeyoung sat up and decided to walk around the hospital since it was the only thing she can do. She will have to collect her pills from Dr. Park later. Coming out from her room, she noticed the hallways were quiet, not like when she first came here, nurses and doctors and victims of the fire were running around. She walked around and eventually walked upstairs on the rooftop.

She opened the door and was greeted by the cold wind that made her feel chilly but she ignored it and walkes towards the railings. She touched the railings and remembered when she first met Mina, standing on the railings, almost fell to her death but thankfully Chaeyoung managed to grab her leg.

She sat on the stone bench, she thought of what recently happened. Chaeyoung confessed her love indirectly to Mina and kissed her, then she remembered half of her memories while they were together. Although she still felt something was missing. Then she remembered the triplets, mysteriously they all looked like Mina but still the latter stood out for her. She thought why Mina would stand out when Eunji had the brightest smile and Minji had the brightest mind, but then again, Mina was the combination of the two.
