Chapter 28

Chaeyoung was feeling fine but then Yugyeom told her that the event was postponed and is planned to be done in March 12. The reason why it was postponed was because of Chaeyoung's health, Taehyung have informed Yugyeom about Chaeyoung's condition and Yugyeom felt ultimate responsibility on what happened to her. If he didn't mention Eunji's name, Chaeyoung would be in a fine state.

Staring at the ceiling of her studio, she sat on her sofa and tried to remember of what happened. What she only remembers was that she saw another Eunji and fainted, but other than that was she ran all the way towards Eunji. Which can be another reason for why she fainted.

Since birth, Chaeyoung had this condition when she would be tired after walking for like a minute or so. When she was 2, her parents got her checked up and the doctor said that she has asthma and she was told not to tire herself and or do any activities that will have her use a lot of energy. When she turned 3, it got worse even though she sat still inside of her house. When her brother and her were at the age of 3 and 7, Jeong-Hoon and her weren't really close because of their differences. Chaeyoung wanted to play outside and Jeong-Hoon got irritated by her whining so he let Chaeyoung tag along with him. But 3-year old Chaeyoung was not allowed to play such running, soccer and other games. So she always sat alone in sandboxes. But three years later, she was 6 and she visited the playground again, this time, she sat on the swing and met three girls although she can't remember them, she tries her best to.

Chaeyoung groaned when she felt her head aching. She knows she has asthma but she doesn't have any disorder relating with her head or something. But everytime she tries to remember her past, her head suddenly aches as if she's not allowed to visit her memory lane. Her mother is dead, Jeong-Hoon is dead, her father is missing. Taehyung is the only one that's giving her hope and if counted, Mina is giving her the will to live. She feels like when the fire happened, when she fainted, something is missing. As if comparing to a puzzle, when the fire happened, pieces of the puzzle have gone missing and Chaeyoung ought to find them and bring them back. But where should she start? To when the fire happened or when she met the three girls in the playground?

She sighed and massaged her temples, the door opened suddenly and revealed a very happy Kim Taehyung. How his mood can change 180° when something great happens.

"What's up my 'lil sis?" Taehyung asked when he saw Chaeyoung massaging her head.

Chaeyoung stared at him. When they met in the hospital, it was like Taehyung already knew her and he did confess that he took a peek in her medical records by begging to the doctor and he read who she was.

"When the fire happened, and I fainted then I was brought to the hospital, did something happen before that?" Chaeyoung asked.

Taehyung shrugged and took a seat, "why ask me? I don't know."

"But you said you took a peak on my medical records! There should be at least a paper where the reason I'm admitted in the hospital."

Taehyung frowned, "I did take a peak but what I only saw was your basic medical records or whatever. The paper stated your height, weight, name, previous illness-"

"Did I have.. like, amnesia or something?"

Taehyung shook his head and laughed, "if you did have amnesia then you wouldn't be as suicidal as you were then."

"Touché." Chaeyoung nodded, the reason why she was suicidal was because she lost her brother and mother who always made her feel that she's still alive.

"But if I was also admitted in Akira Hospital, why didn't I meet Tzuyu, Sana and Mina?"

Taehyung shrugged, "maybe you were destined to meet but not too soon."

Chaeyoung groaned out loud and messed her hair before laying down on the sofa. Her loss of memory is killing her, curiousity is killing her. After she dreamt of EuJiNa, she felt as if she needed to know more. She needed to see more, she needed to remember more.

And in order to do that, she has to know where she will start.

Taehyung hummed along the song that Jungkook was singing. Although he also has a great singing voice, he'd rather choose to listen to his lovely boyfriend's voice. Also, Jungkook is singing his solo--Euphoria and that's what Taehyung is feeling right now that he's listening to Jungkook's angelic voice.

While humming, Taehyung's mind went back to when Chaeyoung asked him about the fire accident that caused Chaeyoung's family's death. Taehyung silently sat there and thought about his answers towards Chaeyoung. Surely, he didn't drop any bombs, right? He's just making sure he doesn't say anything that can trigger Chaeyoung. His train of thoughts were disturbed when his phone vibrated, he fished it out and read the message.

Miss Secret

Miss Secret;
|garden. meet.

Taehyung;
|now?

Miss Secret;
|yes.

Taehyung;
|sure.

Taehyung put his phone back in his pocket and called Jungkook, "honey~ I'm going for some fresh air."

Jungkook nodded, "come back."

Taehyung's lips quirked into a lovely smile, "of course." And with that, he walked out of the auditorium and walked towards the garden just behind the auditorium, there, he saw the familiar figure sitting on the bench.

"What's up?" Taehyung asked and sat on the bench together with the figure.

"Is Chaeyoung alright?" The figure asked.

Taehyung hummed, "yeah. Totally fine." Except for the fact that she's struggling with her loss of memories.

"Good. What is she doing?"

Taehyung stared at the sky, contemplating whether he'll say the truth or tell a lie that will cover up Chaeyoung's state.

"Remember, do not lie." The figure reminded of him.

But Taehyung wasn't even budging, in fact, he didn't feel scared anymore. "She's very fine." Taehyung growled and crossed his eyes.

"Great. Make sure she's healthy and make her stay away from a certain person."

Taehyung nodded, "the doctor? You got it."

The figure hissed, "do your job correctly or else something bad will happen." And with that, the figure excused itself and walked away from Taehyung.

Taehyung stood up and pocketed his hands, staring at the sky he closed his eyes.

I'm so sorry, Chaeyoung-ah. But I'm doing this for your sake.
