The next day I wake up to a banging on my door. I jump out of bed and my large T shirt is hanging just above my mid thigh.
"Who is it?"
"Sarah idiot!"
A smile spreads across my face and she pushes in. "Hey."
"Hey? That's all you got? You skip school without me and no sorry?"
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to skip I was actually going to class but Theo had other plans."
"Oh? Are you and Theo a thing now?"
"Uh no. He's a jerk not my type I can't deal with him and his temper tantrums."
"Oh what happened?" She walks into my kitchen and looks through the fridge.
"Well he got mad I was hanging out with Sean."
She stops and turns around with a weird look on her face. "You were hanging out with Sean and he didn't make a move on you?"
"Well he did but it's nothing he's just not right for me. He looks for answers in the wrong place."
She turns back to the fridge and loos through it some more. "Well yea that's him for you. I don't know how but he knows everybody's background."
"Well he looked up mine and I wasn't happy about it."
"Mhm do you have anything besides microwave food in here?"
"Not really my mom has to go to the store. The thing is we don't have a lot of shopping money."
"Same with me my mom has a small job but it doesn't pay a lot."
There's a knock on the door and Sarah gives me a weird look. "You expecting somebody?"
"No I don't think so." I walk to the door and pull it open to find a man in a suit holding flowers out to me.
"Miss. Sam?"
"Uh yea what are these for?" I take the flowers and look at them with raised eyebrows.
"I'm not sure I was just told to send them but they're from master Sean." He turns around and walks down the hallway.
"Sean huh?" Sarah has a smirk on her face and she's obviously enjoying this.
"Shut up Sarah." I put the flowers down on the table and an envelope slides out.
"Oh what is this?" She slides the envelope towards her and flips it open. "Dear Sam I'm sorry about what I did and I hope you will forgive me for it here is a gift for the trouble I've caused. Sincerely Sean." She looks back in the envelope and pulls out 200 dollars.
"What the...?" I pull the money out of Sarah's hands and look at the money in disbelief. "What does he thinks he's doing?!"
"Hey what's the problem? It's money."
"No you don't understand my rent for a month is $200 and he had to have looked through my information to know that!"
"Okay Sam no offense but I think you're blowing this way out of proportion, it's a gift."
"That's not it Sarah I don't like hand outs and I don't like someone 'getting to know me' by looking me up on the internet!" I grab my backpack and pull open the door.
"Where are you going?"
"Sean's house."
"Oh this should be good I'm coming." She grabs her bag and follows em out onto the sidewalk. "you know we're going to be late right?"
