My mom still isn't home and my voice is back in my head again.
"Go cut you'll feel better."
"No stop get out of my head please."
"You deserve it you drove away people like you always do. Do everyone a favor and die."
"Stop! Get out!" The room starts to spin and I can't catch my breath.
"Do it you know you want to."
"Will you stop if I do?!"
"Of course."
I run to the kitchen and find a knife and run to the bathroom. I slam the door shut and hold my arm over the sink.
My heart is pounding out of my chest and my breathing is ragged. I run the knife over my arm softly at first then the second time I break skin.
Blood flows out of my arm steadily and the voice in my head eases away but is still mumbling in my head. I drive the knife deeper into my skin until the sink is blood red.
"Honey I'm sorry I took so long the line was so long."
My eyes go big and I start to run the water and clean the sink out. "I'll be out in a minute I'm washing my hands."
"Okay honey I'm going to leave your food in the kitchen."
"Okay." I pull my sleeves down and open the door. I sprint to my room an close the door. I pull out my bandages and wrap them around my arm. I stuff my bandages away and pull my sleeves back down.
"Honey hurry or else your food will get cold."
"Coming mom!" I rush out of my room and into the kitchen. The bag on the table makes my breath catch in my throat. "Mom you went to Flapjacks?"
"Yea I thought about it and I thought you would like it." Flapjacks is a place my father my mother and I use to go to for breakfast on my birthday but I have been since the day my father left.
"Why did you pick Flapjacks?"
"Well I wanted it to show you we don't need your father to have a family we can be a family of two." She pulls me into a hug and kisses my forehead. I wrap my arms around her so tight my cut starts to bleed more but I ignore it. This moment with my mom makes me realize she's right she's the only person who stuck by me. She was the only parent who didn't leave me so why should I care what my father's doing with his new family.
"I love you mom."
"I love you too honey." She holds me at arms length, "Lets go watch a movie."
I nod my head and grab my flapjacks off the table and follow her into the living room. We grab all the blankets in the house and watch I am a legend my moms's favorite movie of all time. We fall asleep watching the movie with syrup covering our faces. This is the first time I'm happy to see my look a mess.
The next morning my mom is gone and my face is cleaned up and the cover is pulled up to my shoulders. I get out of the covers and walk to the bathroom to get ready. I look at my cuts and they're not pretty. I rinse it with alcohol and put new bandages on. I go to my room and get new clothes to put on.
I get my phone and call Sean. He finally answers when I think it's about to go to voicemail.
"Hello Master Sean can't get to the phone right now but I'm his driver and he said to come get you when you're ready. Are you ready?"
"Yea."
"Okay I'll be there in 10." he hangs up and I furrow my brows what was that about?
I shrug my shoulders and go to the kitchen for breakfast. Ten minutes later there is a knock at my door and the same man that dropped off the flowers the other day is standing in front of my door.
