It was a new day and Beca was sitting with her friends on the oval again eating their lunch as they all talked about their day and random things. Everyone had been getting to know Chloe a bit more over the week and the redhead was very fun to talk to and was very kind to the group. Chloe tried hard to get to know everyone as much as she could but there was one person who just refused to budge and that person was Beca. Beca still wasn't sure about Chloe. Sure, she was a nice person but Beca was pretty good at reading people and something felt a little off about the redhead. Beca had noticed that Chloe ate one bag of chips or a museli bar for recess and one sandwich for lunch and that was it.

Beca had also noticed how Chloe would often wear the same clothes two days in a row or wear the same thing a day or two after she already wore it and Beca was pretty sure that her clothes weren't washed properly, if at all. Chloe didn't smell, far from it, but her clothes had that already worn smell to them. Beca was no stranger to wearing clothes more than once but Chloe's clothes were often quite dirty and old and her hair hadn't been washed in what appeared to be days. Beca was still unsure about Chloe and Chloe was still unsure about Beca. The new girl wanted to get to know Beca more but the brunette said the bare minimum to Chloe and Chloe would have been lying if she said that it didn't bother her.

"Stacie, how much stuff did you pack me for lunch?" Aubrey said, looking in her lunchbox.

The blonde had stayed over at Stacie's the night before and whenever that happened, Stacie always packed both hers and Aubrey's lunchbox the night before and Aubrey would do the same for Stacie if they stayed at her house. It was a nice system they had.

"Just the usual," Stacie answered casually.

"Just the usual? This is enough for both of us!"

"You know how I like my food."

Aubrey tutted with a smile then pulled out a chicken salad roll that she kept for herself. "There's no way I'll be able to eat this. Anyone want what's in here?"

"Yes!" Chloe called out first before anyone else could. "I will... If that's okay?"

"Yeah, sure!" Aubrey handed Chloe her lunch box where the redhead devoured a bag of chips, a few snack bars, a sandwich, and a small salad all within the span of five minutes.

Everyone looked at the girl gobsmacked. They had no idea how it was possible for someone as skinny as Chloe to eat so much in so little time.

"Damn, girl! You were hungry!" Cynthia-Rose stated.

"Yeah, a little..." Chloe laughed.

Beca looked down in her lunchbox and saw that she had a chocolate bar left over. She was too full from the pasta salad that she had earlier so she took a breath and pulled out the bar.

"Do... do you want this? I can't fit any more food in," Beca offered, holding the chocolate bar up to the new girl.

Chloe looked at it then looked at Beca, completely taken aback by her generosity. The girl who hardly spoken a word to Chloe all week was now offering her food. Everyone else in the group was surprised and watched the interaction between the two girls in anticipation.

"Thank you," Chloe smiled gently, taking the chocolate bar from Beca's hand.

"You're, ah... you're welcome," Beca muttered then looked down at her hands after Chloe took the bar.

Chloe smiled at her some more before opening the wrapper and eating the bar. Stacie and Aubrey exchanged confused looks before looking around at everyone else who had the same expression on their faces.

"What are you going to do during Study, Becs?" Jesse asked.

"Probably work on our Music assignment or something."
