Beca didn't receive a text from Chloe last night and she assumed that Chloe's phone was flat or something. The brunette didn't worry too much about it but when Chloe didn't show up to school the next day, Beca thought that something might have been wrong. She wrote to Chloe multiple times but the redhead didn't respond at all. Beca didn't want to worry but she couldn't help it. It was so unlike Chloe to not respond to her. Beca feared that she may have done something wrong or maybe she took things too far. Once those thoughts got into her head, Beca found it impossible to get them to leave. Chloe was on Beca's mind all day and she even called the redhead but the call went straight to voicemail, which made Beca worry even more.

It was recess and everyone was sitting out on the oval, everyone except for Aubrey.

"Where's blondie number two?" Fat Amy asked.

"She's, ah... She's not here," Stacie uttered.

"Is she busy or something?"

"Ah... No..." Stacie shook her head.

"You okay, dude?" Beca asked. "You're so quiet today."

"I'm fine."

"If this is you fine, I'd hate to see you not fine!" Cynthia Rose laughed but Stacie didn't even crack a smile.

"Aubrey and I got into a fight," Stacie confessed.

"What happened?" Beca asked.

"Well... Last night I went over to Daniel's place to finish our Chemistry assignment and out of the blue, he kissed me."

"What?"

"You're kidding!"

"No way!"

"What!"

Everyone was shocked.

"I know, I know," Stacie sighed. "I told him off then went to Bree and told her and, well... she didn't take it well."

"Did you break up?" The Australian probed.

"Amy!" Beca hissed.

"What?"

"No, we didn't break up," Stacie answered. "Aubrey said that she needed time and space, so in other words, she wants a break."

"But... it was just a kiss right?" Jesse checked. "Like, he kissed you? Right?"

"Yeah," Stacie nodded.

"I get that she's angry but wanting a break from something HE did..."

"I know, but you know what Aubrey's like."

"Kinda."

"She's hurt and I get it but wanting a break... Yeah, I don't know. Part of me agrees with her and the other part thinks it's ridiculous. But then again, I know Bree and I know how important honesty and trust means to her."

"But you didn't do anything wrong," Beca said. "HE kissed YOU. It'd be understandable for her to want a break if it was the other way around but it's not."

"I know... I know..." Stacie sighed. "It's been so awkward all morning. She doesn't even acknowledge me. I have Chemistry with her after recess and I'm dreading it."

"You two sit next to each other, don't you?"

"Yeah. Then we have Gym together... It's going to be so awkward."

"Did you want me to talk to her?" Jesse offered.

"That's sweet, Jess, but I think I just need to give Aubrey the space that she wants. We all know what Aubrey's like when you push her."
