Bechloe - One For My Baby

Chapter XXVI

The time it took for Mark to get Chloe out of her house took longer than Beca would have liked it to. It had been several months for Mark to come up with a safe way to get Chloe to leave. In the meantime, Beca had to be there for her girlfriend and support her the best way she could. Chloe spent as much time with Beca as she could. Nearly every weekend she spent with the brunette. Chloe tried her best to stay away from her father but that was a challenge. Chloe was terrified to stand up against the man so she just found it easier to comply to him. Whenever Randall was intimate with Chloe, the redhead fell apart into her girlfriend's arms the next time she saw her. Beca was heartbroken every time but she knew she had to stay strong for her girlfriend. Beca continued to comfort her and tell her that it wouldn't always be the way it was and Chloe believed her.

Chloe's situation still remained a secret between her and Beca. She didn't want anybody else finding out, which Beca understood. Even though Chloe was going through such horrific things and what her father was doing to her was beyond repugnant, Beca still stuck by the girl's side. If anything, Beca wanted to take care of her more. Chloe still couldn't understand why Beca wanted to be with her. She was getting sexually abused by her father constantly and no matter what, Beca was always there for her. Chloe was scared that Beca would leave but the brunette stayed and Chloe found herself falling harder and harder for the tiny alt-girl. Beca may have been a badass but she had the biggest and warmest heart Chloe had ever known. She had never met anyone like Beca before and she was so grateful that she was dating the girl. She honestly didn't know what she'd do without the brunette.

Mark had been doing his best to get Chloe out of the situation she was in. However, it wasn't as easy as informing the police and getting Randall arrested. Unfortunately, Chloe had been brainwashed by her father and had been told to say certain things to people whenever they asked certain questions. It was built into Chloe as if she were a machine. So, it took Beca and Mark a while to get Chloe to open up and tell them everything that Randall had done to her. Chloe was also given the task of gathering evidence against her father and that took a while as well. Chloe was terrified of her father who was a very cunning and smart man. He watched Chloe like a hawk, so the redhead had to be extra careful about getting what she needed.

Chloe was hoping that everything would be over soon but she knew she had to be patient. She was willing to wait as long as she could if that meant that Beca wouldn't get into trouble. The thought of anything happening to Beca made Chloe feel sick to her stomach, sicker than she felt whenever she was with her father. Beca was Chloe's world and Chloe found herself developing very strong feelings towards the brunette - feelings she never thought she'd ever have for somebody else.

"Does that hurt?" Beca asked as she ever so gently traced the back of her fingertips along Chloe's neck that was bruised.

The redhead was snuggled into her girlfriend's side as they watched a movie on Beca's bed. Randall had been rough yet again with Chloe the night before and Beca felt the biggest urge to hold Chloe. She always did whenever Chloe told Beca what Randall did to her. Beca just had to protect Chloe and give her the reassurance that she was okay and that she was safe. Chloe always believed Beca no matter what. Beca was the first person that Chloe had ever trusted.

"Sometimes," Chloe answered.

"We'll get him, Chlo. I promise you that we will. Once dad's got everything together, we'll put that bastard away."

"Then what do I do? Daddy will get put away but what about me? Where will I go?"

Beca thought momentarily until an idea popped into her head. It was completely absurd and practically impossible since she was certain that her dad would have said no but the thought was there nonetheless.
