After a lovely day together, it was bedtime for Beca and Chloe. It was creeping up to midnight when they decided to stop playing video games and go to bed. It had been a big day so the girls were exhausted.

"Are you still feeling okay?" Beca checked.

"Yes, babe," Chloe giggled, brushing her hair. "I feel fine. The only thing I'm worried about is keeping you safe."

"Me safe? Chlo, YOU'RE the one who needs to be kept safe but don't worry - dad's on it."

"It's okay, Becs, I trust Mark and I trust you. I just don't want you to get hurt. Daddy isn't nice when he's angry."

"I have no doubt." Beca pulled back the sheets to get into bed but when she did, she accidentally knocked Chloe's backpack off the bed, sending some of the content onto the floor. "Crap,"

Beca got on the floor and picked up the items. Beca didn't pay much attention to them until the brunette saw a small packet of tiny tablets and the blood drained from her face once she realised what they were.

"Ah... Chloe?" Beca uttered.

"Yeah?"

"Why do you have these?"

"What?" Chloe turned around and saw Beca holding the tablets.

"Oh, they're vitamins," Chloe answered casually.

"Vitamins?" Beca frowned.

"Yeah, daddy said they keep me healthy so I take them."

"How... How long have you been taking these for?"

"Umm... I think for about four years or so."

"Did you have to go to the doctor to get them?"

"No," she laughed. "Why would I need to go to a doctor for vitamins?"

"So... your dad got them for you then?"

"Yeah...? They're vitamins, Beca. He picked them up at the store."

Beca sighed, her heart breaking even more than it already had.

"Chlo... They're... they're not vitamins."

"What? Of course they are!"

"No... They're not."

"Then what are they?"

Beca sighed again. "Baby, these are contraceptive pills. They... they stop you from getting pregnant. They also help with period complications but most people take them to prevent falling pregnant."

Chloe's face fell. "How... How do you know that?"

"Because I used to take them once. I had really bad periods so I went to the doctor who prescribed me the pill. I took it for a few months until my periods got better then I stopped."

"O... Oh..."

"So, when you started your first period, did your dad go out and buy these "vitamins" to help you stay healthy with your period?"

"Y, yeah... How do you know that?"

Beca rubbed her eyes then sat on the edge of the bed.

"Come here, baby,"

Chloe put her hairbrush down then sat next to the brunette.

"You don't need to take these anymore, Chlo."

"Why not?"

"Because they're not vitamins and you don't need to worry about getting pregnant anymore. Your dad is a sick bastard and the fact that he gave you these so he could..." Beca couldn't even finish her sentence. "Don't take them anymore, okay? You don't need them and you'll never need them."
