Lisa and Anne packed their bags silently that night, careful not to wake Elise in the girl's cabin.

"I think we have everything we need." Lisa studied the inside of her bag.

Anne swallowed the familiar lump that loomed in her throat. She had never gone to the oil rig before and the fact everyone who was on it wanted her dead, wasn't very amusing.

Lisa gently placed her hand on her shoulder. "Hey." She whispered.

Anne slowly lifted her gaze, trying to bring herself out of her frightening thoughts.

"We're going to figure this out, and once we do, we'll be one step closer to defeating Dark Core." Lisa gave her an assuring smile.

Anne nodded. She had to trust that the Druids knew what they were doing. If Avalon believed in her, then she needed to believe in herself.

The two girls swung their bags over their shoulders and began to walk towards the door.

Lisa slowly twisted the knob, careful not to make much noise. The teens slipped out of the doorway, and closed the door. This gave both of them the opportunity to breathe since they had kept their breathing shallow inside the cabin.

"Ok, Elizabeth said there would be a boat waiting for us at Cape West." Lisa explained.

Anne nodded, still trying to catch her breath. "Ok, we better hurry if we want to make it on time."

The girls walked off the porch hastily and began to jog toward the trailer.

Anne suddenly stopped when she caught sight of a tall boy in the corner of her eye. "Darken?"

Lisa whirled around. "Psst Anne!"

But, unfortunately by the time she said her name, Darken had already found Anne.

"Anne?" He narrowed his eyes. It was difficult to see the blonde at this time of night. "What are you doing out at this time?"

"I'd like to ask you the same thing. We have curfew remember?" Anne reminded him, starting to come closer.

"And what makes you an exception?" He teased.

She gulped, immediately realizing her mistake. "We-I had to help Elizabeth with something."

He lifted an eyebrow. "At this time of night?"

"Yeah, she needed help setting up for the lesson tomorrow and uh-there were some upset horses."

Darken chuckled lightly. "Barn is that way, remember?" He pointed in the opposite direction of her.

Anne bit her lip. "I-I know that, paddock is this way though." She gestured to the way she was walking.

Darken studied her for a moment, not sure whether to believe her or not. "Ok." He shrugged, finally succumbing to her excuse.

Anne let out a breath. "Ok then." She awkwardly laced her fingers together and swung side to side. "Have a nice night." She slowly backed away and started walking when she felt soft fingers wrap around her wrist. The warmth from his fingers made her heart pounce.

"Anne, I-"

She met his eyes. They were gleaming with hope, filled with questions. He knew she wasn't telling the truth. "Yeah?"

"You know, whatever is going on, you can tell me." His voice was smooth and reassuring.

She looked up into his blue eyes and looked away. She felt guilt rush through her veins knowing she had so many opportunities to tell Darken who she was. "I know, but-"
