What happens when a 16 year old girl looses most of her family, and ends up at a gas station at the same time as a couple of country bands finish off a tour? What happens when they witness one last thing happen to this girl? What happens when they h...
We walked back to the barn for the reception. I was super excited because I haven't seen what the inside of it looks like yet since the guys and Mama Becky were the ones who decorated it this morning. Me and Oliver were holding hands as we were walking. I grabbed his hand tighter as I saw what the inside looked like. I was completely amazed.

Then I heard Brantley whistle. "Hey y'all," he yelled getting everyone's attention again. "We all want to thank you for bringing food to help with this pot luck, and for coming as well. First we will give thanks, then we will eat. After that, we can dance and get this party started." Everyone laughed and started towards the table with the food on it.
It was now 5:30 and the music was starting. It was the song that me and Oliver had requested to dance for our newlyweds dance. From the Ground Up by Dan + Shay. We swayed on the dance floor as the song went on.
Grandma and grandpa painted a picture Of 65 years in one little house More than a memory, more than saying "I do", Kiss you goodnights and "I love you's"
Me and you, baby, walk in the footsteps Build our own family One day at a time Ten little toes, a painted pink room Our beautiful baby looks just like you
And we'll build this love from the ground up Now 'til forever it's all of me, all of you Just take my hand And I'll be the man your dad hoped that I'd be
And we'll build this love from the ground up For worse or for better And I will be all you need Beside you I'll stand through the good and the bad We'll give all that we have And we'll build this love from the ground up
This life will go by In the blink of an eye But I wouldn't wanna spend it without you by my side The clouds are gonna roll The earth's gonna shake But I'll be your shelter through the wind and the rain
And we'll build this love from the ground up Now 'til forever it's all of me, all of you Just take my hand And I'll be the man your dad hoped that I'd be
And we'll build this love from the ground up For worse or for better And I will be all you need Beside you I'll stand through the good and the bad We'll give all that we have And we'll build this love from the ground up
Someday we'll wake up with thousands of pictures Of 65 years in this little house I won't trade for nothing the life that we built I'll kiss you goodnight and say, "I love you still."
And we'll build this love from the ground up For worse or for better And I will be all you need Beside you I'll stand through the good and the bad We'll give all that we have And we'll build this love from the ground up From the ground up
"I love you." Oliver said kissing me.
"I love you too." I said after the kiss. Then the next song, My Girl by Dylan Scott, came on and the games started.
The reception couldn't have been any better. I had everything that I ever wanted. My family, my friends, and my husband. And even though the family I knew before the one I have now couldn't be here, I knew that I would always have them in my heart. And that made it all better. Bumpy roads do have beautiful destinations.
— 10 Years Later —
The past 10 years have been both crazy and amazing. Amber and Brantley had a little boy a little over a year after Oliver and I got married. His name is Barrett. Although, now he's almost 9.
Beau and Dallas are still as crazy as ever, but are about as inseparable as a barnacle and a rock. Funny enough, Beau and Dallas aren't our only kids anymore. We have 3 more kids. Beau Preston and Dallas Olivia are 10, Jackson Lee is 8, Tucker Wyatt is 4 and Dakota Belle who is 2. We couldn't be any happier. And one on the way. Rider Blaze who is due in 3 months! Everyone is super happy. I can't wait.
