(Lance's Perspective.)
"Eight hours."
"EIGHT HOURS!"
Allura flinches back as he shouts.
"This is normal. There's nothing wrong."
"EVERYTHING IS WRONG!"
Allura turns to me.
"Can you please help calm him down?"
I lift my arms up to reveal bruising and a million little claw marks.
"I've tried and failed."
She sighs before turning back to Keith.
"You're almost there. It won't be much longer."
"That's easy for you to say!"
He snaps. There's a small pause before he groans and lays his head on the table he's using for support.
"Lance."
The second I hear my name I'm at his side.
"What do you need?"
He raises his head to look at me.
"Can you please go to my room and find a hair tie?"
"Of course."
I plant a kiss on his forehead before turning and walking out into the hallway. The second the doors open I'm surrounded.
"Is the baby here yet?"
Pidge asks. I look around in surprise at the small circle the team has made up around me.
"Uh- no."
They all sigh and move to sit back down.
"How long has it even been?"
"Eight hours."
"What?!"
Shiro practically shrieks.
"It's a long process. The baby isn't ready yet."
"Fuck this. I feel bad for Keith. How is he doing?"
"Well, he's angry."
"How are you?"
Hunk asks. I look down at him to see his eyes are on my arms.
"You look a little worn out yourself."
"As long as everything continues going okay I'll be fine."
He nods.
"I'm sure everything will work out great."
