"Papi, where did uncle Shiro take daddy?"
"They're going to the hospital princesa."
"Why? Did daddy get hurt?"
"No. Daddy is fine."
I kneel down in front of our daughter and hold her face in my hands.
"Right now daddy is having a baby."
"The baby is coming?"
"Yeah."
"Can I see the baby?"
"I'll have your abuela bring you over to the hospital tomorrow. Okay?"
She nods and I plant a quick kiss on the top of her head.
"I gotta go now. See you tomorrow?"
"Okay."
I let her go and send a quick thankful look at Adam.
"Thanks for taking her."
"It's not a problem."
He smiles.
