A Nine Days' Wonder

"What did I just do?", she scolded herself. Mika instantly regretted what she has said towards Vic. Nasaktan din siya sa mga lumabas sa bibig niya lalo na na't nakita niya kung pa'no nasaktan ang dalaga sa mga narinig nito.

But she can't just say yes to her request. Kasi the moment na pumayag siya dito, Vic will immediately think na may pag-asa ito sa kaniya and she can't let that happen. Vic is not her type. Lalo nang malaman niya na irresponsible ito, sobrang clingy at makulit. Mukha pang babaero. Masyadong kabaliktaran si Victonara sa taong dapat sunod na makakarelasyon niya. Isa pa, she's straight. Tama?

Pero binabagabag pa rin si Mika sa nagawa niya at sa isip niya rin ay hindi niya na ito mababawi. She already said those hurtful words and wala na siyang choice but to let things flow.

Ilang beses man ijustify ni Mika ang kaniyang rason ay hindi niya naman maitanggi na may kung ano kay Vic na gusto niya. The latter can actually make her feel happy kahit pa madalas siya nitong asarin at lokohin. Her presence can actually calm Mika inside kahit pa na mukhang chaos palagi ang dala ni Victonara.

She can't help but to think kung paano nga ba siya napuyat kagabi dahil kakaisip lang at pakikipagtalo sa sarili

~Flashback~

Mika gave her Victonara a quick peck on her cheeks bilang pagpapasalamat dito sa pagsundo't hatid sa kaniya. She can't even understand herself why did she do that. Hindi naman kailangan pero tila may biglang pumasok sa ulo niya at ginawa lang niya iyon bigla.

Hindi niya mapigilang mapangiti nang makapasok na siya sa kanilang tahanan. She kept on touching her own lips and recalling how soft Vic's cheek was. Vic also smelled good and dahil madalas itong lumapit sa kaniya ay alam niyang she's always been haunted by the latter's scent.

Matapos maligo at magbihis ay hindi pa rin maialis ni Mika sa isip niya ang nangyari. Hindi niya na rin mapigilan ang sarili na ngumiti. This is actually the first time Mika is showing her beautiful smile. It's just that wala nga lang may nakakakita sa kaniya ngayon at hindi niya rin ito namamalayan.

Kinikilig siya, yes. And no matter how much she tries to stop herself from feeling that kind of emotion eh hindi niya magawa. She liked the feeling actually, parang lumulutang sa cloud nine, pero...

"I'm straight", bulong niya sa sarili niya habang pagulong-gulong sa kama.

"I'm straight and I shouldn't be feeling this. This is all wrong", she added. Ngayon nakikipag dikusyon na siya sa sarili niya.

"But I liked it. I like how she's making me feel. Pero...she's a she. And I couldn't help it. God, what am I doing?"
"Pero baka pwede naman di'ba? Maybe I could give it a try? I have gay friends naman"
"Is she worth it? Worth it ba na bumaluktot ako para sa kaniya?"
"Pero, she's obviously not responsible. She's jobless and she's umaasa sa parents niya. She's too makulit and too clingy? And what if I give us a try eh pahinutin niya rin ako with modelling?" Her heart is now battling with her brain and masakit na sa ulo. She liked the feeling but she's trying to stop herself.

Finally, she gave up. She thought the feeling is wrong at dapat matapos na ito sa habang maaga pa.

~EndofFlashback~

"Shall I talk to Ate Whi? Yeah I think I should", she told herself and immediately went to her friend to talk. Dahil kung siya lang eh hindi niya na talaga naiintindihan ang nararamdaman.
