Chapter 22 : Portal Problems

Right after our sorcerery class, we saw Vaboo's pixie on the door, waiting for us.

"Vaboo have to make some announcements. Frio, Meissa and Nadia. Come to me." She pointed to us  and the others complained.

"Wait, what about us?" Kaagad na agap ni Flare.

"I'm sorry. I'm just asked to do so." Sagot ng pixie at umalis na.

Nagkatinginan kaming tatlo bago magkibit balikat at naglakad papunta sa office ni Vaboo. I'm pretty sure that his announcement is important, he only picked us for some reason. It might be confidental.

After walking on a couple of minutes, we arrived at his office and was greeted by a large meeting table that is only set when Vaboo called a meeting. We sat on the chairs and waited for him to speak.

"Malucia declared a war." He dropped the bomb.

"Why?" The only thing I asked.

Why would she declare a war against us? She's been ruling the Escapies and controlling the whole domain and we just stood here and let her be on the top for years. But why in all time she'll declare it now? Why not when the whole domain is under on her spell? why now? what is her reason?

"I asked the pixies to convince the Geruini to be back on the palace since you're already here." He ignored my question. "But on their way here with the other geruini's, But Malliyah came and killed the soldiers. By the blood they scattered, they're declaring the war between astroloheirs, versallian folks and the traitors." Paliwanag nito.

Napailing ako, they killed the soldiers that supposed to guard the whole palace since the heirs is already back. But why would they declare a war?

"They want the girl." He then continued. I paused by that. Kaming tatlo ay kapwa natigil dahil sa sinabi ni Vaboo. It's crystal clear that he's pertaining to Serel.

"But why would they want Serel?" Unang nakabawi mula sa pagkakagulat si Nadia kaya't nagtanong ito.

"That's the question. But for now, I'm giving you a task. There is something going on with the Portal Valley, visit th land and know what's wrong." Vaboo stood up, his way of saying that the meeting is already done.

Napailing na lamang ako sa nasagap na balita. Serel needs to train more. She's in danger in this time. The traitor wanted something for her. But I'm curious. Was it Serel herself they wanted to it's something on Serel?

"And also," Natigil kami ng marinig muli ang boses ni Vaboo.

"I'll be opening an introduction ceremony after your task. Be safe."

Tahimik kaming bumalik sa dorm kung saan nag aantay sila saamin. I dont know if they're waiting for Nadia because they are hungry or it was really us.

"Be seated." Frio said, breaking the silence.

"What did he say?" Kaagad na tanong ni Flare ng makaupo kami. We told them about the attack and our task but we skipped the story about Serel. That will be announced later on. But not now.

Kinabukasan ay nag handa na kami para sa pag punta sa Portal Valley. Some soldiers walked us out of the palace and we saw the griffins in there. So we'll be riding them then?

Nang nasa himpapawid na ay napaisip ako patungkol sa sinabi ni Vaboo. Something is happening on the portal valley. This could be mean something.

The Portal Valley is where all the portals connecting the earth is located. But the valley was destroyed by Malucia for some reason, every portal has it keys, and it was a book. But Malucia burned all the books on the whole domain. Mayroong mga nakaligtas na libro gaya ng nasa loob ng library ng palace but all the books are burned.

Muling pumasok sa isipan ko ang kagustuhan ni Malucia na makuha si Serel. She's after her. But what would a great guardian wizard want from a girl who just entered the Versailles?

Unti-unting nanlaki ang mga mata ko ng tila may mapagtanto. What if she learned that Serel and Fisso entered this world and she's threatened, knowing that there's a book she forgot to burn which was the book who let Serel and Fisso entered this world! She might be thinking that thr book was still with Serel?

"Earth to Meissa!" Napakurap ako ng pumalakpak sa harapan ko si Aquacia. Bahagya kong nilingon ang paligid at nakita ang lugar. Nasa Portal Valley na pala kami.

"Anong meron dito?" Serel asked and roamed her eyes around.

"Portal Valley. A valley which holds the portals that parted the mortal domain and the versailles domain." I explained and walked on the portal with a placard on the top.

"This one is a portal connected to France." Turo ko sa nasa taas na gintong placard kung saan nakaukit ang salitang 'France'

"O M G, So kapag pumasok ako dito automatic na nasa london na 'ko?" She squealed when I nodded. Then she immediately ran towards the portal, but Fisso dragger her before she can even meet the portal.

"Ang sabi ni Vaboo, may nangyayari daw dito. What could it be?" Ani Tyson at inikot ang paligid.

"I saw blinking light over there." Dawn pointed us something on the valley. Pinagmasdan ko ng mabuti iyon at nakitang mayroon ngang umiilaw roon.

Pumunta kami sa direksyon noon at tiningnan kung anong portal ang umiilaw. Nagulat ako ng makita na mula iyon sa pilipinas.

"What is happening?" Tanong ni Flare at unti unting lumapit sa nagbubukas na portal.

A light enveloped us and I saw myself standing on a marble floor. Iginala ko ang paningin ko at nakitang nasa isa akong malaking mansion. I looked around and saw the others.

"Where are we?" Tanong ni Levi.

"N-Nasa..." Lahat kami ay nilingon si Serel na nanlalaki ang mata habang nakatingin sa buong paligid. Dumako ang tingin niya kay Frio.

"We're on Serel's grandmother's mansion." Fisso continued her statement since she's too shocked.

"What the hell is happening?" I mumbled under my breath.

"Let's roam around." Levi suggested and started roaming around the whole place.

Umakyat ako sa staircase at nag-gala gala. While roaming around, I saw a door slightly opened so I went in there. Doon ko nakita ang isang kwartong mayroong shelves sa pader. Sa gitna noon ay may malaking kama kung nasaan si Serel.

"Serel..." I called, bahagya ako nitong nilingon.

Her eyes started to tear up. Hindi ako nagdalawang isip na lapitan siya upang yakapin. Then as soon as I reached her, she cried on my shoulders.

"It's okay..." I caressed her back.

"Ang hirap pala..." She sobbed. "P-Pakiramdam ko w-wala akong alam sa lahat. Pagkarating ko dito... naninikip ang dibdib ko." Napahagulhol na lamang ito saakin. I calmed myself when my stupid eyes are tearing up because of her.

"Shh. It's alright. Let's go back shall we? We'll find answers after this." Pagpapagaan ko sa loob nito. Ngumiti siya saakin at pinunasan ang mga luha niya.

Sabay kaming tumayo sa kama at akmang lalakad na paalis ngunit natigil kami ng makarinig ng kaluskos. Bahagya akonh naalarma dahil doon. We both searched the whole room to find where the noise came from but I found nothing.

Nilingon ko si Serel na nakaharap na sa isang book shelf at tila may tinitingnan roon. Nilapitan ko siya at doon naagaw ng atensyon ko ang isang libro na tila gumagalaw. It's shaking and shaking unti the book fall off.

Kaagad kinuha ni Serel ang libro at pinagmasdan iyon. Her eyes widened when she realized something.

"This is the book! Ito yung libro na umilaw na parang nagbukas ng portal." Aniya at iniabot iyon saakin.

Tiningnan ko ang buong libro. But this doesn't match the book she described back then.

"The thing here is, this isn't the exact look when I saw it. Nag-iba siya." Serel pointed out.

Magsasalita pa sana ako ng bumukas ang pintuan at naroroon si Levi na hinihingal.

"Guys? we have a problem. Come quick!"
