Chapter 47

Christmas time was just around the corner and I had finished my Christmas shopping just yesterday. I was debating on whether or not to get Shawn something, I did anyways. He texted me letting me know he was flying back in a couple days to stay in Toronto for a few weeks.

"What did you get Shawn?" Madison asked as we had been at the movie theatre right now.

"Well, I got him two." I said as she smirked. "I got him a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses because I know he wears them a lot and a new wallet." I smiled.

"What brand?" She asked.

"Louis Vuitton."

"Oooooh, fancy." She bumped.

"I know I thought I'd go all out for him." I smiled looking down.

"I think it's cute." She said.

"So what movie did you want to see?" I asked.

"I'm not sure I was thinking like a romance, maybe?"

"Yeah I'm good with romance." I nodded

"So have you talked to Shawn lately?" She asked curiously.

"No I haven't spoken to him in almost a month." I shrugged

"Why not?" She asked. "He's just been busy with himself and I've been busy with myself."

"I think you should give him a call." She said.

"Right now?" I asked.

"Yeah I'll buy the tickets and you give him a call." She smiled.

I decided to take her up on her offer as I walked over to the corner of the theater hesitating on whether or not I should give him a call. I stood there staring at his name as my finger lightly brushed over his contact name.

I pressed down as I slowly put the phone to my ear, it rang a few times before I heard his voice on the other line.

"Hello." He answered.

"Shawn." I said ecstatically.

"Hey Amanda. What's up?" He asked. I couldn't tell if he was excited to talk to me or not by the sound of his voice.

"Um I just thought I'd give you a call and see how you were doing?" I asked.

"I'm doing great thanks, and yourself?" He asked.

"I'm doing really good thanks. I'm actually at the movies with Madison right now." I smiled

"Oh that's good." He said.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"I'm actually coming home in a couple days to see my family, did you maybe want to catch up?" He asked.

My body filled with excitement as I heard that sentence come from his mouth. I didn't even think he wanted anything to do with me anymore, I was surprised.

"Yeah that'd be great." I nodded.

"All right well I guess I'll text you when I get to Toronto and we can arrange things from then."

"Definitely." I smiled

"All right well it was good hearing your voice." I can hear his smile through the phone.

"It was great hearing yours too." I smiled.

"Talk to you soon." He said.

"Yeah I'll talk to you later. Bye." Smiling, I hung the phone up as I walked over to Madison.

Why was I so excited to see him? I never even thought of calling him or texting him until Mads said something. I can't deny it and say I didn't think about him most of the time, but I still didn't want to rush into anything.

"So what did he say?" She asked.

"He's coming back home in a couple of days and wanted to meet up." I smiled.

"Aw, are you going to give him his present then or do you plan on seeing him on Christmas?" She asked.

"I don't know I might go visit." I shrugged.

"I think you should." She smiled. "At least spend an hour with him or something."

"I might." I smiled.

"Good, but now it's me time so let's go watch this movie." She said linking arms.

We walked into the theatre as we found our seats and sat down. The theatre wasn't really packed with that much people which I was surprised with.

"Hey, thank you for calling :)" -S

"No problem haha" -A

"I didn't think you wanted to be friends anymore :(" -S

"I could never stay away from you, no matter how hard I tried lol" -A

"I really missed you" -S

"Missed? Ouch" -A

"Shut up you know what I mean" - S

"Yes I know. & I've missed you too, a lot" -A

"Did you and your family want to come over for dinner on Christmas?" -S

"I'll ask my mom but I'm hoping she says yes!" -A

"Anyways, movie is starting!! Gotta go!" -A

"Love you! Xx" -S

Wow literally the worst person ever. Never even updated on Sunday and I have no excuse other than I forgot. I was going to when I got home from work at 1 am lol but then also forgot and fell asleep. Anywhore, here ya go :)
