Chapter 39

Arriving in New York with Madison, she decided to come for the ride with me knowing I hated planes and riding them alone.

"Sightseeing first?" I asked.

"When does he go on?" She asked.

"Around 6." I looked down at my phone seeing it was still 11 in the morning.

"Have you texted Andrew and all the others?"

"I texted Andrew and Geoff." I said. "I'm hoping they didn't tell anyone though. I told them it was a surprise."

Madison and I walked around Times Square for a bit as a group of girls came running over to us.

"Is Shawn with you?" They immediately asked.

"No, he's not." I chuckled.

"We've been looking all over for him, we thought he might come here before the concert." One if them said.

"He doesn't even know I'm here." I laughed.

"Aww you're surprising him?" She asked.

I nodded my head as they all aww'ed together.

Talking for a little more, I got pictures with them but asked if they could post them in about 2 hours. It's 3 right now and by the time I go and see Shawn it'll be 4:30-5.

After sightseeing with Mads, we got an Uber and were on our way to the place the festival was being held. Andrew said he'd be standing outside waiting with our backstage passes so we weren't stopped by security.

"I see him." I said pointing over to the gate as the car was pulling up.

"Thank you." Madison and I both said as he stopped the car and we got out.

"Hi." Andrew greeted as we both gave him a hug.

"My god, how long has it been since I've seen you?" Madison said to him as I let them catch up. I followed behind Andrew and Madison as he walked us to where Shawn was right now.

I could hear the screaming fans on the other side of the fence that was blocked with black tarp as we made it to the stage. We walked up some stairs as I looked at the time seeing it was 5:42.

"He goes on at 6, right?" I asked.

"Yes." Andrew nodded.

"Should I wait till he's finished to surprise him?" I asked. "I don't wanna make the fans wait because Shawn wants time with me."

"You know, I think that might be better." We all laughed as Andrew had stopped us. "Wait behind here."

Madison and I stopped walking as we did what Andrew said.

"Look at everyone." Mads said looking through the curtain at the crowd.

"My goodness." I said looking around.

A couple minutes had gone by and I had seen they were setting up the stage for Shawn. Fans screamed even louder as they started chanting Shawn's name.

"Shawn, Shawn!" Madison and I chanted as we laughed.

"Look." Madison said as I looked through the curtains seeing Shawn getting ready. He looked nervous and I wish I was there to comfort him.

I decided to take my phone out as I secretly videoed him zooming into his face. I ended the video as it was only 7 seconds long. Writing "Hi baby" on the video, I sent it off to my story knowing Shawn wouldn't see it because he's literally going on in 2 minutes.

"Ok come." Andrew said after they had taken Shawn to the side stage, ready for him to run out.

When he went out, the crowd erupted louder than ever as Madison and I cheered him on from the sidelines.

We sang our hearts out with every song that he had performed. Madison and I took videos of each other rocking out as we posted them online to our stories.

It was time for Shawn to come off stage as Andrew pulled us behind a curtain.

"Ok so he's going to come off the stage and stand here for a couple minutes. He'll take his guitar off and just watched the crowd while he cools down." I nodded as he explained what to do.

Shawn did just as Andrew said as Shawn had been talking to a group of his guys. I got the eye look from Andrew as I came from behind the curtain.

I snuck up behind Shawn wrapping my arms around his waist as he was completely confused and looked behind to see who was hugging him.

"Amanda!" He yelled turning his body around as everyone had laughed.

"Hi!" I said as he squeezed me tight. He was full of sweat but I didn't care at the point. It's been a month since I've last seen him.

"What are you doing here?" He asked. "I was coming home tomorrow."

"I know but I thought I'd surprise you." I smiled.

"How long ago did you get here?" He asked.

"Well I got in New York around 10 ish and got here about 5:35." I smiled.

"Honey." He soothed embracing me in another hug. He didn't let go this time as we stood there in each others arms just listening in on everyone's conversation.

"Hi, I'm here also." Mads butted in.

"Oh hey Madison." Shawn let go as he went over giving her a hug. "How you been?"

"Same old." She shrugged off.

Shawn's team decided it was time to leave as Shawn grabbed my hand pulling me to where they were going. Madison followed along as we had bodyguards from every angle.

"Wait, Madison." I said stopping as Shawn stopped as well to see Madison was behind the guards which meant the fans would probably suffocate her.

"Walk in front, you two." Shawn said resting both his hands on mine and Mads backs guiding us to the gate. He was so overprotective of both my friend and I. It was the cutest.

I'm going to Toronto November 28th and I'm going to be there for 3 weeks holy shit lol.
